Was hoping for a more positive answer, but still, cold hard truth is the best way to put it.

Still, the novel series are continuing right? And we haven't seen the sales result yet, so I might still have some hope.

Just hoping that if it's a 1 cour season, it ends on a good note, like Suisei No Gargantia.

If the story was a little more solid and kept that amazing feelz like in the first arc, this could easily be a top anime.

I hope it does, it might turn out like "Hidan No Aria" and only have 1 season even though the light novels are extremely popular (it does not matter how the LN does, its all about the sales in Japan)

Hope they continue it though, not just a cocktease for us.

If you go to the new section in the forums, there's a post that list all the japanese sales of DVD/BDS/Manga/Light Novel/Soundtrack. There's a list of it every week. The anime is doing really bad in terms of sales and i could understand why.

Indeed, they are. My apologies, it should be the preorder list that I am talking about. Occasionally, the guys at the news section keep track of preorder list and Stalker's estimate which pretty much estimate on the amount of sales it will have based on several factors. Sometime, they might provide some details on how the anime is doing in Japan in terms of populaty and review. At times, the sales might be less or more than what Stalker has estimated but usually it is fairly close to it and the preorders list aren't doing quite well at the moment. I actually know some people who read the light novel didn't quite like the anime as much because a lot of the contents were very rushed which some of the anime viewers could already tell.

Not really. The anime was not amazing now. It had lost the potential because of the rushed contents so it was really hard to understand the story at times and a lot of assumptions had to be made. It is almost kind of like one of those cases where if you dont read the novel, you don't really have a clue what's going on. The world that were established were confusing and complex as it is but when you add a rushed contents in addition to that, it 's just not cool anymore. I really liked the series but as it progresses, I lost track of the direction it is going, it is almost like Red Data Girl. I havent read the novel or the manga but I am sure it is a lot more developed and detailed than the anime is. I heard they crammed 6 chapters of manga contents in the first episode.

So I am guessing that this Stalker dude is the resident finance specialist?
If you don't mind, can you link me to some of his predictions?

Still enjoyable, IMO. They wanted to finish this all up in one go, IMO, since Volume 9 would be the last volume.

Shame no second season. I really enjoyed it (Best show of the that season *not including cary overs - AoT) but it really doesn't deserve another season. It reminds me of Angel Beats but this team the characters are bad and the plot is A SHIT TON more engaging.

I agree, the anime was good enough even if it doesn´t have a second season, it really stood out from this last season (which was mostly useless comedy shows). This said, I wouldn´t mind watching a second season if there ever is one.

The thing that bothers me the most is that her goal was never fulfilled!

She goes on about how her dream is to save the world. She "Saves" Alice (even though I don't really get it) and with that she doesn't want to save the world anymore, or what??
The 2002 Tokyo Mew Mew adaptation is not as great as you remember it being.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think she saved Alice because she wished for it, and God has been granting wishes sort of as an apology for abandoning the world. As for her dream of saving the world, I think that still continues as before.
