| Finding proper fansubs can be a tedious, difficult, and often time consuming journey. At times good subs can either make the experience of watching a show even great, while terrible subs can be a turn off. For seasoned anime veterans, they know exactly which fansub groups to trust, and which fansub groups to avoid. So to help a few people save time and suffering, this thread will compile the best and the worst sub groups, as voiced by the members of this club. It may not be too helpful, but it may come in handy hearing the opinions and voices of other anime watchers. Thread Guidelines: -Create a list of the best fansub groups you know of, if you wish to elaborate, go for it. -If necessary go ahead and post a brief description on why you trust this fansub group, or not. As for my list... | Kick Ass Anime is a DVD ripper group that adds styled subs or karaoke not a traditional fansub group. I generally watch things from the following: Eclipse Static Subs Lunar The Triad Flomp Froth-Bite Anime-Kraze Shinsen-Subs Conclave BSS Central Anime Live-eviL Aniyoshi Ureshii gg Typically if I can't get something from one of these groups I'll skip it or wait for DVDs. There are too many bad fansub groups to list. If I had to pick one bad group it'd be Chihiro Best DVD rip group is without a doubt Thora. Kick Ass Anime can never do wrong either. |

| I don't really wan't to say anything bad about any fansub group, so here is a list of what I find are my top 5. There are alot more good ones I could list though. Eclipse Shinsen Ayako conclave m.3.3.w And for the rips/dubs Lime anime4ever Blitz anime HQ Exiled-Destiny |

| agreed gg should be on that list they did some great work on for example 'seto no hajime' giving full kanji-translations, lots of cultural references and usefull notes  |
| Eclipse and niizk are imo the best there is - well at least the most solid. Others include Menclave, Conclave, gg, BSS, SS, m33w, Ureshii, and of course the SS-Eclipse combo. For rips/dubs Exiled-Destiny is easily the best. AHQ, Anime-Supreme and Blitz are also decent. Those are all based on what I've seen. |
| TO BEGINNERS OF ANIME: Don't worry if you can't find the best subbing group of the anime, generally they are quite good, and its only small snitches/problems to make one sub group better than the other. So it doesn't quite matter which one you have (unless its obviously terrible), this is generally directed at those who are more experienced and maybe get annoyed if they notice minor mistakes in the translation. You must also try to remember that these are normal people, leading normal lives, doing this in their spare time, so be grateful that you have subs in the first place!!
