by bio-mechanical i mean really any anime in which there is a fusion of man and machine and or part mechanical part organic robot
People hate dying. They hate killing, too. They don`t like making others cry, or crying themselves. How must it feel to not be able to choose one`s life? What about when family dies? Or when a loved one dies? Nobody wants those things. Yet , the world laughs and hungers for such suffering. I`ve never had a burning desire to change something. But it would be sad to live whithout change. I dont want to lose anything else.. It`s a pain , but i think it`s about time we moved forward. I`ve averted my eyes until now, but.. If i have to, I`ll take a hard look at my own past. To achieve a world where nobody ever loses anything. - Ryner Lute (TLOTLH)

I see you have Ghost in the Shell SAC on hold. Try watching the Ghost in the Shell 1995 movie before you watch the TV series. I think it'll help make more sense.
I'm also filled with pure-hearted ulterior motives.

I know you are looking for anime, but you should really try reading Blame!, its an awesome cyberpunk/sci-fi manga with loads of bio-mechanical stuff.

http://myanimelist.net/manga/149/BLAME!

Google blame+mangafox for online reader.(doubt i am allowed to link directly)

And it got wonderful background images:
