I just read the next chapter of Kodomo no Jikan (41 or 42), and I just have to ask myself if this was the end of the series. It seems like it was a quick effective ending to the whole she-bang. I hope not. I just feel Rin's just trying to have to deal with the possiblity that Aoki-sensei may not be at the school next year. And seeing the little joke the other teacher plays could this lead him to get fired or suspended giving Aoki a class to take over? Houin I guess will take on the incoming First years or be a second fifth year teacher

No this certainly isn't the end of the series, the last page says that 43 will be out Oct. 22.

However, I do think that this is going to be the end of the more uncomfortable Daisuke/Rin scenes for at least a little while. Personally I am hoping to see a Daisuke/Shirai pairing made soon. The way I see it possibly coming together is she'll need someone to parade around to her parents to get them to call off the marriage interviews and silence her new phone stalker. That someone will just happen to be Daisuke who she already has feelings for.

It's understandable why many people believe this is the end. What an inconvenient coincidence that this chapter had some announcement containing the word "End" in it.

It can't end with Rin still being with that bastard Reiji.

Btw, I nominate "Male Teacher B" (what's his name again? XD) as the most underrated character ever. He's so funny. XD

Male teacher B definitely got himself into a hornets nest here, being he is a minor character and we to find a way to keep Aoki-sensei at the school, this could be a exit point for him. This also leaves the teachers without their teacher, (They like the students are going to have to figure the rest out themselves.) As for Shirai and Aoki if she is not a lesbian (Her admiration of her fellow classmate kind of mirrors Rin and Kuro), I just see them being good friends. I still have ever feel that as long as Rin is in Reiji's house, Aoki will not get involved with any women. He has yet to come to grips it seems with how he feels about Rin and how those feels can best serve Rin ( as a boyfriend or a father).

Dunno what to think about the Chapter itself, its getting pretty unpredictably

I believe it said on Saha's website that chapter 41 was skipped in volume 5, then replaced with an "extra"/omake chapter (that didn't have a Chapter #).
So now that we are in volume 6 I guess they wanted to start at the exact number of chapters done

Sorry about creating a scandal or panic over the internet. I am the same guy who got everybody in a fuss over my comments on Saha's blog. So is any body actually reading the chapter or are we just going to say we like it or I thought it was cool. I have a background in literature so I kind of like to try to really talk about stuff like foreshadowing and plot developments and how character really interact with each other. The writer has done great job creating these characters, but the last few chapters seem a little unfocused. Like she was trying to stretch things out a bit. I feel she does need to start tying up a few loose ends here and there. One of the big subplot questions that need to answered is how is Mimi going to react to Rin going for Reiji after she already confessed to liking him. This plotline is definitely a major conflict point in our little triumvirate of Cuties.

Well there is only one thing to say about this chapter: Holy Shit!!! My fear that this story was winding do was proven wrong and I am so glad. It seems we have seen Reiji turn the corner on his obsession and we also have Rin taking one more set into the adult world. I am glad that they are not pulling any punches (no pun intended) on this story and did anybody get the feeling that the girls are setting themselves up for trouble at the manga cafe? And did we just see the last of Shira-sensei as a teacher at the school. Two chapters and two incidents involving her. Do you have the feeling that O-sensei has the hots for her too? Aoki and Houin drunk and alone doesn't seem to harmless but with all the rape comments in the previous story does it look like our boy is going to be the victim? And he ain't going to remember it. Only in Kodomo

The translator is right. Whatever slim chances this series will be published in these United States just got kneecapped and torpedoed.

It's slim to none that a publisher would invest their own money in this, but should she find a backer and "self publish" through a subsidy publisher or vanity publisher then it might see the light of day over here. Being she would translate it herself, there would be a more accurate telling of the story.

This chapter ending the innocent flirting and the harmless flashing of anatomy that Rin performed until now. She is aware of what it is she wants. Her thinking of Aoki-sensei as she did her little dance only proves that she still care deeply for him. Yet this mange cafe I wonder if it will come into play more as a trouble spot. The guy is the suit wasn't very nice towards our girls. Plus do you think Kuro-chan might figure out what took so long in the bathroom?

The color page had an interesting message in it. Seems like Aoki is closer to understand Rin than Reiji, and the idea the author has of being more mature it's kind of one-sided, only refering to sex. The way those girls think is far more advanced and mature (not necesarily sex-related) than even most teenagers or young adults

Actually there was an attemps to publish this for us occidentals under the name of Nymphet... I believe you can imagine why it was cancelled.

Sevens sea apparently seeing the popularity of Titles like Gakuen Alice and Ouran host club tried to jump on a title early, possible only after volume one was published, As they worked to translate it they got to volume three and saw the whole Aoki and Rin locked in storeroom scene and that posted red flags for them. Later they canceled it after the Rin and Reiji bath scene were he made his plan to marry Rin clear. I feel this title could still be published in the US but only after it is completed and possible as an Omnibus (one large volume or boxed set.) That way you don't have people picking it apart volume by volume.

I believe "Male Teacher B" is also known as Oyajima-sensei. ^_^
