You're condescending, but I'll answer anyway. The years and order played are probably off by a bit.

2000-2004:
1. Skies of Arcadia
2. Phantasy Star Online (Played until Ultimate difficulty, offline.)
3. Grandia II (Unfinished. Nightmare world.)

2005-2007
1. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
2. Final Fantasy XII (Not very far.)

2008-2011:
1. Diablo II and Lord of Destruction (Single player, normal difficulty.)
2. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Light path.)
3. Fable: The Lost Chapters (Light path.)
4. Chrono Trigger (Close to the end. "The Time Egg" chapter. Couldn't figure out where to go and lost interest by not playing it for several months.)

2012:
1. Demon's Souls (250-350 hours, platinumed.)
2. Dark Souls (400-500 hours, platinumed. I went as far as NG+7 before my PS3 died on me.)
3. The Witcher 2 (Stuck at "The Eternal Battle". Wasn't having much fun by that point anyway.)
4. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
5. Skyrim (First battle with Alduin finished. In the process of arranging a council between General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak. Haven't played it in weeks.)
6. Mass Effect (I'm at the beginning, on the Citadel. Probably won't finish this, or at least not any time soon. Not my kind of game currently.)
7. Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition

You shouldn't presume to know what kind of experience they have because of their ages. There is nothing stopping them from playing those games now.

I'm skeptical about this golden age of yours.

Most of my favourite RPGs were released before I even started playing games. Chrono Trigger, Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, System Shock, Tactics Ogre, Fallout, Ultima, Deus Ex, Earthbound. I think I've played enough oldies to have the right to a valid opinion at the very least.

Implying we can't still play those games today.

Anyway I like rpgs, but not too much, I only got into them through FF12, since I had the Spirits Within movie, saw the same title, and decided to buy. Then I played other FFs, Ultima Underworld 2, White Knight Chronicles, Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim, FF13.

Imo it's still the best PvP game out there, it's damn hardcore (when you die, you lose all your items (depends of the server tho, on some you can keep one or few items depending on your fame, on some servers there are "newbie" items, which never drop), I think the loss of all your items is what new players would dislike more than grinding (most MMOs are grindfest, as much as I know).

UO is full of adrenaline. I can't say that I didn't enjoy PvE, World Exploration, but PvP was and still is just superb. I don't play UO any more though.

Does anyone know a game similar to UO, but single player?

Gameboy
Pokemon Red- my first RPG
Pokemony Yellow
Pokemon Gold

Playstation
FF7- watched my cousins play, played later myself. Got bored with it.
FF8- picked up because my cousins had FF7. I didn't understand the concept of "not leveling up" in an RPG at the time and wound up throwing it to the side, never to return.
FF9- my first REAL PS RPG and my second chance with Squaresoft. I really liked it.
Threads of Fate- got because my friend liked it a lot. Loved the characters and story.
Legend of Dragoon- not sure why I picked this up except for the battle system. Disliked the story and characters.
Chrono Cross- was recommended to me by a GS employee. I regret this purchase ever since.

Gameboy Advanced
Golden Sun- got because of Nintendo Power
Golden Sun 2
Pokemon FireRed

Nintendo Gamecube- I got because I wanted Twilight Princess
Tales of Symphonia- was recommended to me by JRPG fans. Played it and liked it, at least the second half.
Skies of Arcadia- everyone said I HAD to play this game and I found a copy of it. Didn't like it.
Baten Kaitos- my friend really liked it, so I gave it a shot.
Baten Kaitos Origins- see above.

PS2- got for Tales of the Abyss, because I wanted more Tales after Symphonia
Tales of the Abyss- got and loved
Tales of Legendia- got it, but didn't like it.
Shadow Hearts Covenant- got it upon recommendation of a friend before I had a PS2.
Shadow Hearts- see above
Odin Sphere- my friend recommended it and I found it for cheap
Radiata Stories- got upon recommendation. didn't care for it

Wii- got for Xmas
Tales of Symphonia: Dotnw- got because I liked the idea of being back in Symphonia world and the characters. Enjoyed
Fragile- got because of Tri-Crescendo
Muramasa- got because of Odin Sphere
Arc Rise Fantasia- got because it was made by the same people as Tales

Xbox 360- got for Tales of Vesperia
Tales of Vesperia- one of my least favorite Tales games.

PS3- got for Tales of Graces
Tales of Graces F- enjoyed
Eternal Sonata- played it on X360, wanted my own copy
Resonance of Fate- I loved the clothing options
Tales of Vesperia- got for cheap
Tales of Xillia

Left out DS and PSP because I'm lazy

Very short, I really didn't get into RPGs until Tales of Vesperia came out. After that I started playing FFVI and XIII, then I fell in love with the SMT series. I love Persona 3 and I'm currently playing Persona 4 along with working on FFXII. I hope to eventually get to Kingdom Hearts. I also had Dragon Quest IX, Rune Factory III: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, and Atelier Annie on the DS, I loved those games.

I don't think I can remember all the games I've played from start, although I'm kinda generic I guess, just going from what I can remember so it won't be perfect in any way... Some titles I'm not sure if they are actual RPG's so just a quick google and if a reliable site says they are, then putting it in.

NES:
-None come to mind.

Playstation:
-Legend of Mana - Played it til the disc no longer worked. /re-bought on the PSN.
-Chrono Trigger - Rented a lot
-Chrono Cross - Played only a little bit, but watched my cousin play from start to finish.
-Final Fantasy VII - Demos ftw. Game always broke on 3rd disc... PFFFFTTT.
-Castlvania: Symphony of the Night - Played it til the disc no longer worked. Wasn't even my game. A favorite.
-Digimon World - Favorite of the Digimon games. The newest Digimon game looks like it'll be really similar, though I have doubts it'll get a NA release.
-Final Fantasy VIII - Remember playing the demo from the Brave Fencer Musashi PS1 game. Got it a while after.
-Final Fantasy XI - I have 2 copies of this game...
-Final Fantasy Tactics - Bought this real late, never actually beat this version.
-Digimon World 2 - Turned into a turn based game, still enjoyed it.
-Digimon World 3 - Meh... never bothered to finish, was.. boring as hell.

N64:
-Paper Mario - Only memorable game from the N64 for me other than Golden Eye.

Gamboy Original / Color:
-Pokemon Red / Blue - Rare Candy Cheat. Missingno ftw.
-Pokemon Yellow - Evolved my Pikachu.
-Pokemon Silver - Lugia > Ho-oh
-Pokemon Crystal - Cousin gave it to me, never played it much.
-Mega Man Battle Network - Cousin gave it to me.
-Mega Man Battle Network 2 - Don't remember much from this one.
-Mega Man Battle Network 3 - Don't remember much from this one either.

Gameboy Advance / DS:
-Pokemon Leaf Green - Meh, shouldn't have bothered.
-Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories - Played this game for the longest time when I had it.
-Mega Man Battle Network 4 - Don't remember much from this one... either. Rom.
-The World Ends With You - Best.
-Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - Enjoyed.
-Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Favorite CV of the DS category.
-Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia - Was... hella hard for some reason... Rom.
-Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin - Kept freezing, never finished... legitly. Rom.
-Children of Mana - Played for a little while as a Legend of Mana fan, but got boring quickly. Rom.
-Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor - Great game, though I only played one route. Rom.
-Chrono Trigger DS version - Don't remember much honestly didn't play to far before deleting it. Rom.
-Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja - Loved the characters in this game. Gameplay itself was tedius and kinda boring after a while. Mostly cheated and rom.
-Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns - Above.
-Lunar Knights: Vampire Hunters - Never finished the game but it was enjoyable. Rom.
-Sands of Destruction - Played after watching some of the anime. Game was... mediocre. Rom.
-Etrian Odyssey - Dungeon crawler. Rom.
-Etrian Odyssey II - Dungeon crawler. Rom.
-Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon - Stopped playing after I got the girl. Rom.
-Pokemon Platinum - Never even beat the Elite Four.
-Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 - Not sure why so much people hate it, I enjoyed it.
-Luminous Arc 3 - Hot spring event = win.
-Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. Never finished it. Rom.

Playstation 2:
-Dark Cloud - Uncle bought it for me, didn't think I liked it. Beat it several times.
-Final Fantasy X - Probably my second favorite FF game. Blitzball was the shit.
-Kingdom Hearts - Sora's feet are so huge.
-Final Fantasy X-2 - What the fuck did they do to blitzball?
-Dark Clould 2 - Favorite game.
-Star Ocean Til the End of Time - Maria <3
-Kingdom Hearts II - Dual swords.
-Tales of the Abyss - Karma.
-Atelier Iris - Meh, bought it because it was anime art. Lmao.
-Final Fantasy XII - Ehhhhhhh.... y so different?

Game Cube:
-Digimon World 4 - Fun to play with others, boring as hell alone.
-Tales of Symphonia - Wished I had gotten the PS2 version.

PSP:
-Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core - Favorite FF game. Zack > Cloud.
-Disgaea - First one. I never played it til I got a PSP which was very late.
-Mana Khemia - Played through several times. ISO.
-Class of Heroes - Never got to far in the game. ISO.
-Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology - Ehhh.... not as interesting as I thought. ISO.
-Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions - Didn't notice I beat the game until I beat it... That was... the final boss...? Seriously? ISO.
-Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - Only finished one persons route. Lmao.
-Phantasy Star Portable 2 - Played... so much... online.
-Persona 3 Portable - Never finished the girls route. /sadface.
-God Eaters Burst - My character spoke. I'm happy.

PS3:
-Eternal Sonata - I haz 2 copiez, one unopened o3o
-Disgaea 3 - Skipped 2, went straight to 3. Was fun but never got too much into it.
-Star Ocean The Last Hope - I still haven't finished it... god dam blue flowers.
-Demon Souls - White sticky stuff.
-Atelier Rorona - Ehh... didn't enjoy it that much.
-Ar Tonelico Qoga - So much love.
-Resonance of Fate - Different... I never finished it... last chapter...
-Disgaea 4 - Stopped playing after dupe glitch was fixed.
-Final Fantasy XIII - Stopped playing... at final boss...
-Hyperdimensional Neptunia - Beat once, never touch again.
-Atelier Totori - Much better than Rorona.
-Dark Souls - Intense the first time. Overall, game gets too easy once you know everything.
-Skyrim - I honestly have never finished the main story. Too much fucking side quests.
-Final Fantasy XIII-2 - Eh.... Forgot about this game... hell I forgot to use the pre-order bonus and deleted my email with it.
-Hyperdimensional Neptunia MK2 - So... much.. better than the first game. Platinum'd.
-Tales of Grace F - Probably the 'best' JRPG on the PS3 that follows the normal JRPG style games.
-White Knight Chronicles II - Only played for online, the story is horrible. Gameplay overall is tedious as hell.
-Atelier Meruru - I enjoyed this one out of all of them, was planning to platinum but too lazy after first playthrough.
-Persona 3 FES (PSN) - Was worth the money.
-Dragon's Dogma - Eh... too ez after a point.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot of smaller titles. I have a modded PSP and DS so I've tried out/played multiple games I cannot remember off the top of my head on those two.

I envy some of your memories.

Pretty sure Zelda on the NES was my first RPG or was it Final Fantasy?

One of those two.

From there it's just too many to name {remember}.

Oh damn, I forgot about playing Ocarina of Time since I've never beaten it.

Why?

Take a two-word water-related guess. :S

-Tales of the Abyss - Karma.

Game Cube:
-Digimon World 4 - Fun to play with others, boring as hell alone.
-Tales of Symphonia - Wished I had gotten the PS2 version.

Final Fantasy VII, it opened my gaming to a new experience into RPG.

Then The Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden II, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX.

PS2 era (and most of them playing on next-gen era)
A lot of games, I want to say these: Shadow Hearts, Shadow Hearts Covenant, Xenosaga I, II, III, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 (my favorite game), SMT: Lucifer's Call, Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Tales of the Abyss, Suikoden III, IV, V and others.

I was able to play classic like Xenogears and Suikoden I for PSX and the older Final Fantasy on GBA.

On next-gen, I've played Lost Odyssey, The Last Remnant, Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, Valkyria Chronicles, Eternal Sonata, Xenoblade Chronicles.
On portable, I love to play on Nintendo DS, there are such great games, but my favorite is the remake of Chrono Trigger, I've played it more than 5 times. And a lot of other great games: SMT Strange Journey, SMT Devil Survivor, The World ends with you, Dragon Quest IV, if you want to count them in the Castlevania games (which are not 100% RPGs).
On PSP for now just a few ones: Crisis Core FFVII, Fate/extra, KH Birth by Sleep, P3P, Persona 1, Ys Seven, Ys III.

RPGs are my #1 choice of games to play.

Clear I'm not the only one who seems to know him.

I would just say ignore him and he'll go away but I've tried that.

He just bumps his old topics or makes new ones to make himself feel better than everyone else. It's really quite pathetic if you ask me.
