| lol boobs? it barely appears throughout the show tbh ... only 1 fanservice scene from previous episode ( as well in the novel) and people were making mess about it. As a light novel reader, and I have spent time watching many anime, I can pretty much confident to tell you that this adaption isn't "shitty" nor "best", both from anime-only-viewer and light novel reader ( who looks forward to this adaption). My perspective is quite neutral, I don't dislike the show, and I don't like to praise it to an overrated degree. The plots is interesting, and the setting, characters design, art works, sound/music are quite catchy for new comers, just like Angel Beats! ( only good when you saw it for the first time). But if you're a strict-viewer, want to look for something new, innovations in new anime nowadays ( steins;gate, madoka, katanagatari, etc), probably you will need to consider again, Is this show really deserves to be "one of the best" in this season, or in general ? Originally, SAO anime version was just aired this season, you may see that this kind of genres( romance, shounen, fantasy) aren't new after all, but just a reminder: the novel first made an appearance at exactly 10 years ago (2002), so the plot, settings were an innovation at that time. Proof ( 6.5 millions page views recorded at personal website). But it's too soon to judge this adaption anyway, as it just only 1/3 the length. Time will tell. I think you missed 1 more option: _ Neutral perspective, neither good nor bad, too soon to judge. Add that option, and I will make my vote. |

| Main character who is best at everything, cool badass, looks good, saves girls and gets a harem, story is simple and all the little challenges gets beaten easily because Kirito fucks everything up because he is Kirito. Exactly what I dreamed somewhere when I was 7-9yo, it's so easy to identify Kirito's role and all. Fuckyeah, it's a wish fulfillment. |
