OMG ITS OVER. I HATED IT. TOO SAD. I DID NOT WANT A SAD ENDING. WHY COULDN'T IT END LIKE THE ANIME?

but the way they ended it makes it VERY likely that they will continue the manga. i mean, the last words are "You'll come home" after all.

ARGHHHHHHHHH I HATE SAD ENDINGS.

Well, there are a number of times that the anime and manga differ greatly. And this was one of those times. From Adrock's and Dewey's death, and how Eureka began to reform into her "true" self.

And speaking of Dewey, his death, I thought was questionable, as he only lied there and repented, remembering little things about his life. I want to believe Holland saved him, after seeing the prosthetic leg of his that he got when he was younger. But who knows.

Anyway, FINALLY I was able to get ahold of and read the last chapters of Eureka seveN. The last 5 in particular, they were actually kinda sad/depressing; you went into them thinking Dominic would survive the ordeal, would live with Anemone (or whatever future they would have planned) and Renton would save Eureka, and all would be ok for the two couples. But no. While Dominic WAS able to protect Anemone, it was at the cost of his own life, and Renton was barely saved by Eureka. And amidst all the destruction, the Coralian took the form of the Planet of Tears (Earth).

That was sad, how it tricked everyone into thinking, "Hey, the Coralian has been defeated, now Eureka and Renton can live in peace," only to hit them with Eureka's death, even after her, in a roundabout way, saving everyone. And even worse, was how Renton couldn't let go and realize she's gone. Also, that "You'll come home" line isn't a sign of the manga continuing, it's the author showing again, that he can't accept her death. He(Renton) does have high hopes of her returning, but he saw her fade away right in front of his eyes, so while he may not be able to admit her death to others, I think in a small way, he has to himself, but not completely. And that rainbow at the end was a sign that she still watches over him, I suppose.

Those little things at the end were cute; Linck actually using the refboard, Talho showing off her being pregnant (which somewhat stayed close to the anime, but made more sense here), Anemone being at Dominic's grave, and telling that kid that the flower she had was an anemone... just the little things like that. =D

... Wow. I really need to pick up the last few volumes of the manga. I really do. I loved the anime so much, and after reading Sesshimi's post I... have a sudden urge to read it. I want to see the depressing ending! I love Dominic and Anemone, and to hear that he dies... and that Eureka dies, too... It's so sad. I must see it executed! I have to!!

Time to get on the ball.

The whole part at the end with the ref board suddenly working and the rainbow was a sign that Eureka is coming back. When the Coralians left, the trapar vanished. That's why the ref board wasn't working at the beginning at the epilogue.

the ending was very different from the anime
It was nice to see what the other Gekko members do, but hey Dominic died and Anemo ended in the wheelchair, thats sad.

I've read chapter 18-23
it was full of gore and violence sometimes I thought Im reading the wrong manga XD

I prefer the anime ending, there I only missed, that they didn't show what the other Gekko members do after the last event.

I liked this manga a lot, but what got to me was how short it is, and rushed at times.
The beginning chapters, I'll give you a ball park estimate of like ch. 1-10 is all insanely fast, I mean, the speed of these character's development is in-human!
then ending ch. 20-23 felt rushed, I mean everything was so sudden, and why the hell did Dominic go in theEND rather then accompany Renton on the Nirvash, I understand two man team, but the Nirvash is BEAST it can take them all down. Either way, I feel Dominic's death was an unnecessary, but it happened. The chances of this manga being continues are pretty slim, seeing how it was made like 5 or so years ago. Then again the anime's movie came out 2 years ago and 4 years after the anime's original air-time passed.
Overall, this manga feels rushed at times, but it's good none-the-less
