Haven't really heard anything about this. Is it still coming out this upcoming season?

It was supposed to be coming out in this season... But it was canceled. And doesn't looks like it might be come out in Winter either.

Give it time... Airing it now could hurt the reputation of the studio, people involved, and the networks that would broadcast it. I doubt it will be coming out next season (still a bit too fresh in the minds of people)... but I wouldn't be surprised to see it coming out (my guess) in the Fall 2012 season. The author of the manga says he plans on continuing to work on it and keep releasing it. As long as nothing happens with the manga releases, I doubt the show will be scrapped. (I also think the release of shows like Deadman Wonderland are a good sign for it too.)

Since it was canceled so late, no doubt a lot of production has gone into it already. I doubt the studio wants to scrap the work that they have already put into it. That's a big chunk of change to flush down the toilet and not see any returns. But at the same time, a potential backlash from people upset with its release and potentially not watching their other shows could be costly as well.

It will come down to money, just like everything does.

On a side note..... with all of the sensitivity issues surrounding the earthquake and tsunami, I wonder why studios don't just release controversial shows directly onto DVD/Blu-ray instead. That's where they make the most money, along with merchandise... it would also limit accidental exposure to people who might be upset by the material. The re-runs of Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 were stopped, but the DVDs haven't been pulled off the shelves. That, or air the show normally, but with a warning (the timeslots are ridiculously late and in the middle of the night anyway) and just not allow it to be accessed on demand... that way it would ensure an adult audience.

I think it is because of the recent nuclear incident that cancelled this anime. Heard it somewhere in my local news...

No, it just means we don't know when it will air. Or wether it will air at all for that matter.

I'm somewhat late to the to the party.
Real shame to hear that the anime has been postponed indefinitely because of the Fukushima incident.

Confirmed project has been restarted

So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.
