Yo,
i recently started to have an interest in such games, thanks to the anime Ore no Imouto.., so far i played a game named "Hinatabokko", the english release was named "Which girl should i choose?". And well, i actually liked it, yet it wasn't because of the sex scenes, but the development of the relationships between the mainchar and the girls. So my question is:
Can anyone recommend me some games of this type? It doesn't have to be eroge just some romantic game, I don't know if you can call this Dating-Sim :D As said, I just started to get into this kind of games and still don't know anything about it. And well if I think about it i prefer it more without sex, but if it's good enough i take it with though. Ah and almost forgot, please only games in english, though there aren't many i expect.
Hoping on responds :)
Thanks in advance

Saya no Uta. Heart wrenching love story and Lovecraftian horror with filthy extra-dimensional Xeno slime all in one.

The first thing you should learn about delving into this medium is that the presence of sexual content generally has no effect on the quality of the plot. Nukige aside (where the entire point of the genre is sex), sexual content in most visual novels is simply a "reward" for the player.

The following titles develop the relationship between the MC and girls quite well:

The entire MuvLuv saga. That's MuvLuv Extra, Unlimited, and Alternative. Extra and Unlimited are bundled together and reading both is required before reading Alternative. I don't think any other English translated visual novel handles its characters as well as MuvLuv.

Symphonic Rain

Ever17

Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo and G-senjou no Maou
These two are extremely character driven although G-sen has a bit more focus on plot. Sharin is probably a lot closer to what you're looking for but the two are often compared so I thought I'd mention both.

Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai
Only partially translated but reading the prologue and Yukie's route is already around 16 hours worth of reading. If you want to have the freedom to choose the girl you like, then I suggest waiting for the full translation.

ef - a fairy tale of the two
Not sure how hard it is to get a hold of this now that a deal has been struck with minori

Kira Kira

Eien no Aselia
This has really tedious gameplay
