So, post manga nominations in this thread, and they might get featured as one of our manga of the month eventually.

Please note that the more you elaborate on your nomination, the higher the chances are for it to get picked. Additionally, although we welcome all styles and genres of manga, it might be cool if we could get more of the hidden gems in manga rather than the obvious mainstream stuff.

With this, I'm off, amaze me with some awesome recs!

I nominate Battle Angel Alita.
I am very pleased about the recent announcement that the sequel will resume publication this March.

I'll nominate Hourou Musuko.

While it's not finished yet, it's a great manga which doesn't fall into any of the usual stereotypes. While the topic probably isn't to everyones taste, it's presented in an innocent way.

I'll nominate Hotel. It may be a one shot, but it seemed like a gritty possible future world. For only being a one shot, I've never really felt a story as complete or well told as this one.

Ibitsu

It's the best horror themed manga i read so far, it really shows the helplessness you should feel in the horror genre.

Ibitsu was amazing, I read it a couple weeks ago.

I'm going nominate 3 Gatsu no Lion by Chicka Uminko. So far it's been an excellent slice of life series, and it seems well researched into Shougi.

Ibitsu's really inconsistent (maybe I should say even idiotic) - can't understand how you could like such a manga - we've got a nice farce as a plot and some really illogical reactions of the characters... (don't take my comment personally, it's just my opinion on Ibitsu) - well, maybe I shouldn't expect sth much from a horror genre(never found some that is really worth it)...

I'll nominate Oyasumi Punpun - a true gem, and it's not a "kids' manga" - got a really deep story, nice style of presenting the ideas, really philosophical - maybe a bit too depressing (and has a really nice artwork).

Then I'll second Oyasumi Punpun. Asano Inio manages very realistic characters and story that are indeed pretty dark, but every once in a while are shown a ray of light. I like this story as it manages to get me involved with every page!

I nominate:
Emma - Because it's a very simple series presented in such a beautiful way it's addicting. One of my favorite series :)

Earthian - It's an interesting series that I think really deserves more attention. The characters are also very lovable!

Just a few suggestions. Not sure if they've been used already, but I did enjoy these. And hopefully some others who have read these could agree that these were good reads.

not simple - It's not simple story about Ian who wanted simply to live happily with his family.

Vinland saga - hm... It's story about the true warrior and about the true meaning of it. (I think XD)

+Anima - it's a cute story about children's dreams (like "I want to grow wings and fly").

I'll second +Anima because it's a really good and adorable series

I'd also like to nominate Kimi wa Pet since I think it's an amazing romantic series that deserves more recognition

I'd like to suggest Broken Blade. (It's a story about War, combination of circumstances, about love and hate, about friendship and treachery.)

or Shin Angyo Onshi - great story!
or Otoyomegatari - great story too! (history)

or Nanatsu no Taizai - very funny story... It's a new manga but a good one and looks very interesting. I hope it will be a good shounen in the end.
