(Given he is the blacksmith/weapon designer who will create the 3dm device). Shouldn't cannons have already been invented?(also something taught in eren's time as a trainee). So how do guns (flare guns), which are essentially modernized hand-held cannons, exist when cannons have just been prototypes in this prologue?
