| jesus fucking christ man this show is SERIOUSLY FUCKING GOOD GODDAMN LIKE FUCK IF ONLY THIS HAD ADAPTED THE ENTIRE MANGA, I WILL HAVE RATED THIS HIGHER THAN CROSS GAME fffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkkk TOUCH was heavy on drama, less heavy on baseball, and had some ballet Cross Game was a happy balance of everything H2 has a LOT of baseball, a LOT of drama, happy moments, and even dark undertones this shit is FO REAL DAWG |

| Good thing this ended on a good note with Sagawa turning out to be a good guy involved with some bad company, but why the hell was Hideo just casually strolling around while he knew where they were and something bad could have happened due to Sagawa's 'friend'. Also why was Hikari joking around about something bad have happened when Hiro was worried to death. |

| I'm glad this bit is over, this all felt so misplaced, especially for an Adachi story. I also felt so much out of character for everyone. I mean, until this point Hideo was portrayed as a serious and smart guy who genuinely cared for Hikari, but apparently what happened with Hiro and Hikari after the concert has turned him in a carefree idiot? Hiro at least cared (and the slap afterwards was indeed somewhat deserved), but why wasn't he strongly opposed to this all in the first place, based on what he knew of Sagawa? But most of all: Hikari herself has been shown trough the whole series as a girl with a strong mind of her own. Why on earth would she agree on playing girlfriend of a stranger who just days before threatened her with a knife? The remark Hideo gave her should have been worthy of one big slap in his face. And even when it all ended well, it still must have been one hell of a scary situation, so indeed why joke around about it? It feels like for these two episodes everyone just turned stupid.... But watching this just shortly after finishing the vastly superior Cross Game, this feels like an overall theme in H2: it is perfectly enjoyable as long as everything stays light-hearted or downright comical, but it falls flat whenever it tries to get more serious. |

| That girl looked like Kine. Maybe his cousin? Lol. Sagawa wasn't so bad after all which was a bit predictable. But after his "prank" with Hikari, it is still hard to call him "good". No matter how you look at it, Hikari deserved that slap. Hiro was worried sick about her, more than her boyfriend, and spent the whole day looking for her because of his mistake. So it's understandable for him to lose it and lash out at her. Hikari thought Hiro broke his promise and decided to pull a prank on him but she underestimated Hiro. It seems like the friendship between Hiro and Hikari is a bit tainted now. Wonder how it'll be resolved unless they decide to act as if nothing happened. At first I wasn't so sure but now I ship Hiro with Hikari. Hideo seemingly cares less about her after the concert incident and now he trusts his childhood friend who he didn't talk to for 5 years more than his girlfriend. And it just feels like Hikari would be much happier with someone like Hiro who might not become a pro baseball player but he would treasure her forever. Hideo did previously say that his career is more important and he doesn't necessarily see Hikari becoming his wife one day. Though that leaves me wondering what will become of Haruka. Btw when Hikari fake-called Hiro in front of Hideo it was a cameo from Adachi Mitsuru lol. |
