I knew it was bound to happen, India is a country where anime is still growing and not reached its full potential, most people watch mainstream movies/shows. Even though chainsaw man is part of dark Trinity, unlike Jujutsu kaisen it's not mainstream for some very obvious reasons, whose zero movie did very well in India. We are getting all these releases is still a good sign for anime in India.
That being said it doesn't change the fact that it was such a chaotic movie, and still managed to have such a beautiful and heartbreaking stroy in less than 2 hours. It was such a bliss to witness this in cinema hall. I would even say it was better than DS infinity Castle, but that's just my opinion.

| Chainsaw Man isn't appealing to most Indians because it isn't as straightforward in its writing as Demon Slayer. Indian audience prefers simple, easy to understand storylines. Any movie that requires you to pay attention to it is not appreciated in India. |

| It is an A rated film, meaning only 18+ can watch it, combined with the fact that CSM is nowhere near the mainstream popularity Demon Slayer has and it releasing so close to the Demon Slayer release date. Most casual anime fans in India have never even heard of Chainsaw Man. I'd know since I have quite a few friends like that who came to watch Demon Slayer but had never heard of CSM. Anime is still very new in India and most fans follow only the most widely known ones. On top of that, the few friends I had who knew CSM didn't want to go to the cinemas for another anime film after just spending for the demon slayer movie. So I just went to watch the movie alone. |

it's Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man and Hell's paradise. it's a general term used for these three, because these modern shonens are considerably darker, ghory and complex than typical shonens like DS, MHA, Black clover etc.
Only Jujutsu Kaisen became more popular and mainstream.
Funny thing is all three are adapted by Mappa.

Anyway, if people are going to play these kinds of titles, they should include darker series like, I don't know... Berserk. |
