With today episode, we are moving into the final arc and there is not alot of the manga left. So how do you think they will end the series?

Have they really been speeding through this season? I haven't read the manga, but from what I've read, the first season covered less than 1/3 of the manga, so I would assume they have enough material for another full season.

We're now at vol 12 so I think that 4 volumes is enough for one final season

I think next season might be the final season because after this arc there would be 2 arcs left to adapt. I can see the anime ending either next year or 2027

it was fun while it lasted
it doesn't have to be 1000+ ep to be good

But it’s not good either way. Really mid and not a single grain of creativity or interesting plot lines. It lost its spark very quickly

Nope, the pacing is normal.
S1 adapted 30% of the chapters and they're currently at about 60%. So you can say one season adapts roughly 1/3 of the story.

They did 4 arcs, about 39 chapters for S1, we're at 75 projected for the conclusion of S2 (unless they dip into the penultimate arc) and there are about 54 chapters in the remaining 2 arcs, so if they did something that's under 2 cour, but a bit over 1, they could manage it. Unless they want to try a movie, but unless they split it into maybe 2, not sure they could do the final arc justice.

It may require us waiting a bit longer, but if they can squeeze it into maybe 16-18 episodes, it'd work, even if it also means they can't promote with a movie (though we've seen series in the past do it in either direction, release the episodes on TV, then release a movie compiling the episodes or a movie and then episodes, sometimes expanding on what the movie did, like with Demon Slayer Infinity Train, the record breaker of Japanese cinema, practically)

What I hope they do is a partial season, with a full-length movie (with a bit of recap, and a longer epilogue).

The main thing is I don't want the studio to rush it.

there are 2 arcs left actually, the second wave and the last wave, so we have currently moved to the arc before the final one, and one more season would be enough for the remaining chapters especially since the last two arcs are heavy action focused

Season 1 was great. Season 2 feels completely aimless, like it's trying to be "cool", and in order to do so, it abandoned everything that made season 1 enjoyable. Idk if season 2 is "rushed" or if the manga itself also took a massive dip in quality

I think it’s the manga. And the last season ain’t gonna be better cuz I saw a lotta disappointed comments on the chapters. S1 was interesting but now I’m just really bored
