Japan isn’t sitting around in fucking committee meetings cackling over the word "anyway". That shit is just one of those loan words that slipped into casual/comedic timing and stuck. Same way Westerners that speak only English use shit like Italian words such as "ciao" or French "deja vu" without fucking blinking, or sprinkle in "karaoke" and "tsunami" like they think it's English. Languages steal all the time, and sometimes those words pick up a new flavor or a fucking punchline in the process. Further more... "anyway"... that English word just sound fucking funny to them. lol So basically... "anyway"... at the same fucking time, they are poking fun of English. lol "Anyway"... no fucking wonder why most Westerners wouldn't understand why it's so fucking funny. lol And if pointing that out makes me a windbag, then fine.
