The romance season but CloverWorks has been stellar and the shows they are simultaneously producing are work of art but the poor animators must be overworked... There is no other way... Let us venture to Japan to help them out... Call Of the Night had been also fabulous this season out of the romance not adapted by this studio... I have added all the romance shows above 6 star... I guess...?

I think Rascal does not dream of a Santa Claus is the shortest end of the stick for animation quality. Not that it’s bad by any means but Fragrant Flowers and Dress Up Darling S2 are just amazing in quality. I’d love to know how the studio has been able to organize the workload.

Call of the night S2 has really great animation especially this season and it’s been more story driven, but the story is just plain good at best. I just really vibed with the night slice of life vibes as an insomniac from S1 which is why I gave it 10/10 masterpiece. S2 is probably on track for a 9 depending on if Ko finally shows some romance promise otherwise it’ll be an 8 in my book.

CloverWorks is an extremely good studio. Often gets hated on because of some bad adaptations they did and people don't seem to take into account that they get neglected compared to their counterpart A1 studios.

I feel like MDuD animation feels weird this season though. Art style feels like it's changed a bit too and the characters look weird. might just be me though

I don’t know how, but they’ve done a wonderful job with My Dress Up Darling Season 2 and The Fragrant Flower. I can’t wait to buy the Blu Ray box sets of each one.

Nah, its not just you as i also feel this way.

At least for the first 1-2 episodes it did but it looks like its changed back after that.

Either that or i somehow got used to the new style that quickly.

@Galactus1701 Sadly i dont think FF is getting a home release as its on Netflix.

So far most if not every series on there hasnt had one.

I mean im still waiting on A Whisker Away to get a home release.

A good schedule/time for production, good connections, good animators, budget, and a true love for the source material that they’re adapting and possibly even improving it through creative liberties. In the case of Cloverworks, we know they love to adapt a decent amount of series per season, but they have multiple teams or groups of staff to focus on each one. For example, Kaoru Hana is utilizing the staff of Akebi's Sailor Uniform, hence the similar cd.

having its roots from A-1 Pictures and a subsidiary of Aniplex i believe. its not really just any other new studio. its as effective as Mappa, WiT, and Bones.

the timing was just right to air their animes in this season. they're more people employed than Trigger, who's doing Dungeon Meshi, Edgerunner and Panty and Stocking (an original). the supply met the demands of anime adaptations. just hope it doesn't implode on their faces again

I have no idea why they picked that “flower” name, but this has been the most enjoyable romance for me
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

cloverworks works (haha get it) with alot of otger studios to make anime, more often than not, so this time they have gotten help from many studios and so forth.

I was actually happy when I heard CloverWorks would be animating The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity. Because I have trust in their animation. They did excellent work with Horimiya.
