It feels like all the interesting Kaiju are dead before the story actually started

Honestly feel like it was a mistake to have numbered kaiju already be dead and turned into weapons before Kafka.

A kaiju with a precognition ability!? That sounds so cool!! And way more interesting than whatever No. 9 decides to pull out of his ass

Pretty sure the older kaijus become more relevant as the show goes on but don’t quote me on that

There will be more numbered Kaijus, I think that a couple are interesting, but for the others are pretty much mid or even below average so don’t expect anything crazy.
Yeah Kaiju no.9 sucks.

No.1 ability isnt pre cognition,its smthg Gen developed after using No.1 weapon for a long time with high compatibility. No.1 was just really good tracking

Tbh,previous number Kaiju were just big things that do big damage. No.1 was just tracking,No.2 was lightning release, No.4 was just it can fly No.6 that it can control smaller ones and not much info about 3,5,7

9 get more interesting after but not by much and imo the serie kinda went downhill in its final arc for how dragged out it was with the whole Kaiju origin

Kaiju's have been attacking for centuries. Focusing too much on older stuff would derail the narrative. The story is about the next gen of defense force fighters, not the previous one.
Keep watching the show and you'll come to understand this is much better from a reveal perspective how the numbered weapons are introduced.
