Finally Rating crossed 8.00

Pretty good show easily one of the top 5 fresh animes that came out this season and by 6th week we see it cross the rating of 8 on mal higher than even sakamoto days season 2. Managed a good audience even after such a start studded lineup of animes this season. Your thoughts?

ya this kinda came out of nowhere, im loving it, i was also really happy when this crossed the 8.00 line. honestly I'd give it a solid 9/10 so far

Well deserved. When people were saying WTF to the announcement of Silent Witch as 'most anticipated' and I gave the light novels a chance, I knew it's going to be part of the weeb conversation and above 8 is more than deserved. The anime is not perfect though but I'm hoping this is sustained at the end of the season and for a long time.

A persistent growth in ratings from the very first episode is a good sign of how engaging the anime is. Also the ratings weren't inflated because of the source and/or previous seasons. The anime itself stands out very well.

I think an 8/10 is the perfect rating for this show. It’s seriously a super fun watch and one of the best new releases to drop this summer. It’s probably the anime I look forward to watching the most each week.

@ReMightyRon yeah but many lack pacing and actually giving insight towards character to keep the audience engaged. Silent witch is slowly building it, steady in which alot of fantasy animes fail.

I don’t really care about MAL scores~

Most of the light novels I read are not even in MAL database~

Silent Witch stands out from majority of the fantasy LNs because it focuses more on Monica’s character development~

One of 3 shows this season I first saw and thought, yeah I'm not gonna watch that,6 weeks later I finished it in 4 hours and once again am kicking myself because All my favorite shows are shows id always say, it's not for me

Did they just add the professor episodes that didn't exist in the original web novel to show Monica's strength??? Could they move the story bit faster and had reached above 8 sooner otherwise? I think Season2 will get the greater score as the story builds up for sure tho.

If you're talking about the professor in Episode 4, he is in the light novels. At that point, he seems to be a forgettable villain.

I agree with you that a hypothetical Season 2 will cover interesting stuff. It's just that Season 1 could have been better than it already is if some of the details and monologues supporting the worldbuilding are not omitted.

hmmm, I re-read the novel but I couldn't find him and also Kasey gets introduced differently... I haven’t read the published version😞All the points you’ve mentioned could have helped the viewer to understand the world better. Too soon to say but if they can continue animating to Gaiden, but it can get at least 5 seasons and I really hope so!😆 They have so much to cover and it’s worth it to include the details especially with good animation in my opinion.
