Also, the acting during W’s confrontation with Doctor and Kal’tsit was amazing too. Taketatsu Ayana is incredible. I need a lore explanation tho. Why does she hate doctor so much? Dark memoir explained why she and Theresa have beef, but I don’t recall how doctor was involved in that? Interesting set up episode, wonder what was going on with Amiya at the end there too |

| Banger episode as always. W confronting Kal'tsit and Doctor was done superbly, great performance from Ayana Taketatsu. That scene definitely made the Darknights Memoir adaptation from earlier worth it, even if the execution of it was flawed, since now there's actually some more context for W name-dropping Theresa. Also mandatory "she wants me dead but at least she wants me" to the Doctor being 3rd on W's hit list after Talulah and Theresis. She's so perfect. Absolute wife. Speaking of Theresa, did not expect to see the brief flashbacks to her from Amiya when she was calming Rosmontis. I guess I can at least partially eat my words from the previous episode's discussion where I believed it'd be a long time before we got to see that particular visual. We're halfway through now and I remain hesitantly positive about them being able to fit everything into 10 episodes, just hoping we won't get another episode as fast-paced as the Darknights Memoir adaptation one was. Next couple of episodes should get really interesting, at least! |

I need a lore explanation tho. Why does she hate doctor so much? Dark memoir explained why she and Theresa have beef, but I don’t recall how doctor was involved in that?

| to be honest... I can't support amiya's idealism, even less in a world like arknights. Rhodes island had the good idea but with amiya wanting to forgive everything I can't support that. talulah deserves to die, she can have the biggest most sad backstory ever but she is a point of no return. |

I think that's more than enough clue without spoiling anything. ______ Elysium keeps getting a scene, what the hell. Elysium fans must be eating good rn. There is a lot of theresa scene in this season. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. And theresis is finally mentioned too. I may have underestimated rosmontis arts. Kinda wild to see her crush a wall that big. Next episode is talulah story huh. It seems we're getting one flashback every 2 episodes. |

| Holy shit Rosmontis's emotional outburst was so fucking raw. Absolutely stellar work with the voice acting plus they did very well to depict her terrifying capacity for destruction when she destroyed that wall. Solid episode imho, also they did a clever job of making a siegeway into Talulah's backstory using Amiya's memory reading abilities, which I'm sure is an anime-original implementation. |

| W is an infinitely fascinating character to me because if one were to watch the first season and observe her actions, way of speech, and mannerisms, you could walk away with the impression that she is very cavalier about the costs and consequences of war, death and inflicting it, and so forth, but since then she has turned out to be a contradiction. The total opposite of the persona she thickly exudes and an idealist and bleeding heart more than most others in this world. Grecefar said: talulah deserves to die, she can have the biggest most sad backstory ever but she is a point of no return. It's not really a question of "deserves". They're (Rhodes Island) not a court or a government of any form, to attempt to arrive at some idea of a standard of justice and mete it out to an individual. They're a pharmaceutical company and its paramilitary wing, essentially. Everything they've done or are doing is done with clear objectives to advance medical research and technology and, from a self-defense standpoint, pursue a world that won't be plunged into endless war where their immediate existence would be jeopardized, like a world where all infected are slaughtered as a population group as happened in the Lungmen slums. So seeking revenge or punishment against any one individual, leader or no, Talulah or anyone else, has always been outside their purview. If they can halt her future actions or capture/incapacitate her in some way, then it ultimately accomplishes the same thing. The goal is the only important consideration. Plus, Doctor promised a dying FrostNova that he would try to save Talulah and I imagine that Amiya feels extra obligated knowing not only that, but after learning of her relationship with Chen and their complicated family situation, and what she in effect pledged to Fumizuki. |

The most important hints for why W hates the Doctor's guts come from episode 2 and directly from her in this episode. In episode 2, we got W's backstory as a mercenary from Kazdel who was hired for a job by an organization called Babel, led by Kal'tsit, The Doctor, and Theresa, who held the title of King of Sarkaz. W was, unexpectedly even to her, swept up by Theresa's ideals and began to idolize her. Also important is to recall W and the Doctor's brief interaction during the episode, where she was, frankly, terrified of him, and Ines' analysis of the Doctor's character, likening them to a chess player in this war who sees the soldiers as mere pawns. When Theresa lost Kazdel's civil war to her brother Theresis and died, Babel and the mercenaries were forced to leave, and W eventually joins up with Patriot and the Reunion movement. In this episode, when confronting Kal'tsit and the Doctor, W *directly* says to Kal'tsit that "the Doctor was the only one who knew where Theresa was, you know what that means, don't you?", and questions the validity of their amnesia. Together, these should paint quite a clear picture of where exactly W's dislike of the Doctor stems from. |

| The whole scene with Amiya trying to negotiate with Patriot's men followed by a distress call from Rosmontis' team which makes her lose her shit is so chaotic and I love it very much. You can feel the stress from her, trying to get just a little bit of a moment of peace. And she did let lose if only for a quick minute. Leave the unhinged crazy bitch role to Taketatsu Ayana because she'll do a fantastic job. Love her iconic "HUUUUUH". Both Ogura Yui and Taketatsu Ayana did a great job expressing emotions of their roles respectively. Sad this series hasn't gained many traction. Guess it being a game adaptation makes people think twice to check it out.  |

Why was I expecting the PRTS screen to be like the game DOCTORR NOOOOOO THAT'S LIKE THE NUMBER 1 THING YOU SHOULDN'T SAY BEFORE GOING INTO A FIGHT you are basically raising a death flag!!!!    Unfortunately you will. Great episode as usual. I have to give credits to Rosmontis' VA, that was awesome acting. You could actually feel the character's emotion. |
