What are the chances that we get a 3rd season/continuation of this?

With all the drama behind season 2 production, chances are very low.

It took them 4 years to make the sequel and they outsourced 95% of the work to a third party studio that did nothing but screw up.

Sure, they could have ignored everything and let the previous crap air, but instead they stepped in and "repaired" the damage done, so at least SILVER LINK cares a little about this series.

It is difficult to predict.

I hope we get a 3rd season but honestly I almost didn't return to the show after its hiatus and I can imagine many more were they same

About 30-40% chance we get a season 3. I was honestly surprised we got a season 2. I didn’t know silver link knew how to do sequels.

@INTJ_Ren

No chances are 00.00%

This cliffhanger ending was just to promote source material. Another do you want know what was next buy and read source material ending.
Prime example of anime like this is No game no life.

Stranger things have gotten sequels. I can go down the list if you want — so I stand on my opinion. Your opinion holds no weight when NGNL has both external and internal reasons for its situation. Next time, come with proper reasoning, not half-baked sentences strung together like they mean something. 😂

Just watched the finale and I wish they were of 100% but considering everything this season went through I'm not confident they are going to invest in kimisen again, sadly.

Ignore marconii2002. He does this all the time. Always pessimistic about anything anime when the story hasn't finished yet. And likely a detractor for this kind of anime.

If season 2 ended on a cliffhanger, season 3 is bound to happen sooner or later. And look what happened to Death March. It took six years since the first season ended for a second season to be announced.

Then where is Masou Gakuen Hybrid x Heart season 2 ?
This anime also ended on a cliffhanger but also have "To be continued" big fat lie at end of last episode. Another example anime with cliffhanger ending is Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica this anime also still not get second season.
Continuation of Death March it exception not rule.

I'm watching regularly TV animes from 2007 to this day. I saw many animes where the story hasn't finished yet and still not get continuation.
In past I was like like others users that think every anime that they like will get continuation. Now, when anime will end and next season will not
get announced I don't expect of next season.

Anime adaptations are only made to promote source material from this reason most anime adaptations are made from ongoing source materials.
Ongoing source material will never get you finished story. Cliffhanger endings where next season was not announced are only to increase DB sales
and promote source material. This is the reality.

I mean, he's right, that's how the industry works...

These 2 Seasons adapted half of the source material currently available, and got terrible production issues and low Blu-ray sales. The Author of the Light Novel also heavily slowed down his writing, with only 2 Volumes released in the past 3 years and still no Volume in 2025, and the sales plummeted for the latest Volume.

Chances of a Sequel, as of now, are closer to 0 than anything else.

Uh, do you not know that 90% of Animes are "unfinished" adaptations ending on cliffhangers or open-ending for the next story Arc ? Your sentence is simply false. At the end of the day, Animes are merely giant ads for the source material, which is why the original publisher is generally an important member of the production. Only huge hit or very short works can have complete adaptations in Animes.
