Has anyone confirmed the number of episodes this will have? I saw a tweet which said 2 consecutive cours for 24 episodes but I’m not sure if it’s from a reliable source, just wondering if anyone knew for sure.

Yeah there’s still no official word on if the 2 cours thing being true, but it’s looking like everyone’s running with it. With The way they’re ramming like 5 chapters an episode, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are going to try and adapt all 255 chapters in those 2 cours.

Probably 48-51 episodes total, so 2 seasons, with each of the seasons being 24-26 episodes.

@Spunkert But that was an incomplete adaptation. I don't believe they will be able to include the hitherto unadapted chapters in just two seasons.

I'm not sure but it just announced that ao no miburo 2nd season will start on December 20, 2025 on the same timeslot, so Yaiba will end before that or temporary end then and start again after it finishes airing.

Is that the slot Yaiba currently airs in? Because that’s MHA’s usual slot, and it’ll be taking it for the fall before Miburo takes it in winter. So if that’s true then unless Yaiba moves to a different timeslot it will be ending at two cours in September.

@AustinJamB ah, I forgot about heroaca airing in Fall 2025. yeah, Yaiba will end in September then (either that's it or for now and announcing sequel (might have more?)).

It’s going to be 24 episodes. The Blu-ray release dates are already out, and it’ll be two boxes with 12 episodes each, so I think that’s confirmed. I personally think it’ll end up being three seasons. I don’t know, cramming the rest of the manga into just another 24 episodes feels way too rushed.
