Probably one of the disappointing thing that F/GO had done in my opinion but not because of the anime itself.

For what it is, it is cute, decent comedy anime with F/GO characters, and I’m all for it. What is disappointing is that there are only four freaking episodes with a duration of two 20-minute episodes. What bugs me about that amount is that I like the female master design a lot, and I was so happy that she was chosen instead of the usual male Ritsuka. They gave her a personality different from Riyo Gudako, but still fun and chaotic, and even voiced by an underrated actress I like. It’s one of the biggest reasons I was excited about this anime. Still, sadly, it’s only for a short amount of time because there are only four episodes(which, again, are like two full episodes). We never see the female Ritsuka in anime form again outside the Anniversary stuff. I genuinely don’t understand why they couldn’t make more episodes, considering they literally have a two cour season for the Babylonia adaptation, multiple movies for Camelot and Solomon, and right now, they have a season 2 of another spinoff gag anime for F/GO(which is a cute one so I’m not mad about that). I think it’s okay if they like using the male one because most fans are males. He seems to be more of a regular anime protagonist of the two, but still, I’m really upset that they finally have an anime with a female Ritsuka, yet barely did anything and haven’t made anything new with her since then. I know I’m overreacting, and the F/GO crew will never see this rant, but it’s almost 4 years since it came out, and it’s already close to the 10th anniversary of this game, so I can’t help but feel disappointed.

Not to doompost, but I think they're done making proper anime adaptations for FGO because they've already invested in high quality adaptations of Camelot and Babylonia, which still attract new players, despite the fact that the playerbase has sort of hit a saturation point, numbers wise.

That said, 10th Anni is a pretty big occasion, so any anime announcements about the Lostbelt arc or another season of Grand Carnival is then or never.

Also, appreciate the Gudako love, she's the best~

The story of FGO was already kind of centered around the player being Ritsuka, especially when it comes to the relationship with Mash. Gudako is obviously the female player choice her personality is more of the goofy side of FGO, she still gets a lot of love in the PVs and FGO in general, but Ritsuka just makes more sense as the choice because of character interactions.

As for why we don’t have any more FGO adaptations, it’s just Type-Moon being its self. Truthfully it’s probably because Ufotable has Mahoyo and their other projects, A1 has Strange Fake and way too many projects, Cloverworks has a lot of projects, Signal M.D did a poor adaptation of the first part of Camelot and they are being dissolved into Production I.G next month.

FGO carnival phantasm is just a small parody from the original Carnival Phantasm.

I really appreciate that there are people who want more of this.
Man if only they do a nice balance using both male and female Ritsuka.
It’s sometimes hurt being a Gudako if you want the regular version instead of the silly Leaning Manga one

It's only 4 episodes probably because of the budget and they would have to make more FGO jokes for this show.

@juandiqsuc well I can understand that. Even though they did have budget to make 2 cour anime adaptation and bunch of movies, they probably using the money they got for other Fate/Type moon projects. And the other spinoff comedy one look easier to animate and make a lot and I’m fun with them. And even if they continue, I know fgo jokes aren’t the best and subjective

But it’s still stings how they just drop this anime completely without any form of continuation…
