| I was listening to the 3.0+1.0 soundtrack for the first time in a while, and I was suddenly reminded about the song 「hand of fate」. I remember the first time I heard the chorus, I remember thinking, "I swear I've heard a song that's almost identical to this with that exact chord progression!". But I can't quite think of what that song is. I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue (or maybe it's a Mandela effect). The only song I can think of that sounds similar is the chorus of 'Baby Come to Me' by Patti Austin & James Ingram (around 0:40). But still, I feel like there's another song that sounds more similar. Can anyone think of another song that might sound similar/have that chord progression? P.S. I'm not a music expert or anything (and correct me if I'm wrong) but isn't the chorus in the 'circle of fifths' progression - the same one that 'Fly Me to the Moon' is in? If so, that's a pretty cool subtle callback to that. Iirc there are a lot of songs are in that chord progression which is maybe why I can't quite think of the song. |
