| This is probably one of the worst anime series I have ever seen in my 30 year career of watching anime. I felt like I was getting whiplash with how many times the writing contradicted it self. It felt like 16 different writers wrote this show. There was absolutly not any redeemable quality to be had on any of the villians/antagonists or even the main characters as we never really got explore their backstory aside from one episode for a few of the angel members. Lushu's entire screen time was just "oh finally 8 orbs, now only 3 left to go". "hahaha, now I only have 4 orbs left" "Now my time is at hand, i only have 3 orbs left to gather" pft!! JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!! ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING!!! The music was so bad, the CG transformations made me want to gauge my eyes out, the characters were annoying as hell, the emo 2nd half of the series where we got to see the main character wallow in dispair for 5 episodes and then turn around and suddenly start preaching to all of his friends how they need to believe in them selfs and humanity? I still have no clue why the Raideens even were pitted against each other as it really made no sence other then the fact that the writers shoe-horned in some nonsensical plot to keep it going but without any knowledge of the first half or what its themes and story represented. All God raideen said to humanity was "Oblierate all evil" how does that equate to suddenly the main characters going into conflich with each other. Anyways ive wasted valuable time just sharing my thoughts on this abmysal bottom of the barrel dump. So I will leave it at that. My rating is a very rare 1/10 Moving onto Raideen the 2nd remake which I have heard is far more faithful to the manga so here is hoping this one lives up. |
