Wouldn’t that logic also mean impel down and marineford are the same arc? Its all about going to save ace. They even have similar structure. Go to water 7 to fix merry and get shipwright, get caught up in the government conspiracy, have to go to ennies lobby to get robin back. Then you have luffy going to impel down to save ace but ace has already left, so he goes to marineford to save ace.

yes but water 7 had the same villians for the entire water 7/enies lobby.

Impel Down main villian isn't anything to do with marineford.

@Ricdumb It makes way more sense to count Impel Down/Marineford as one story arc, than to split Water 7/Enies Lobby up into two story arcs. They literally follow one story that is set up at the start and is resolved at the end. (btw post-Enies Lobby and post-Marineford isn't real either, those are just the arcs wrapping up)
