Is there such a (subjectively) perfect adaptation of the original source, even greatly complementing it, that reading it becomes practically useless and unnecessary unless you are a manga/LN enthusiast and/or want to have volumes of the original source of your favorite anime at home? How do you think? Of course, I don't believe in meme cases where an adaptation is so good that you can retroactively claim that you read the original, but I was really intrigued by the idea of the potential existence of an anime that could make reading the original pointless.

I've seen adaptations that were bad enough for that to be true of them.

This is likely to be unpopular, but Gyo

Maybe something like DEMON SLAYER , reading the manga and missing out on ufotable quality is pointless IMO

Depends how similar the adaptation is to the source.
No, this isn't my signature.

I generally prefer manga a lot more, makes my imagination run more about how the characters are in my own interpretation rather than something a studio making their own. Notice how some anime titles with remake titles are wildly different? Berserk comes to mind

Well technically gundam CCA is an adaptation of hi-streamer that was reimagined into beltrochika's children after CCA, I don't think many people treat hi streamer as the best version
Edit:also tried to read the manga of bocchi the rock, the anime is far superior

Yes, Candy, Candy for me!

I have read the manga and the events are so poorly depicted in manga that it is amazing that the anime does it greatly! It is not pointless to read the manga of course, but the anime depicts the story much more better!! Although it shadow some important points to make the story more harsh, I still like the anime so much!!
