| OH THEY'RE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL Especially 80's crisp celluloid animation and that semi-realistic mature artstyle. | I think my opinion is unpopular but I prefer 80s Anime over 90s Anime even if I rated high a few 90s shows. It's when Anime really started to take form in genres, themes, characters and even animation, 60s and 70s Anime has very very few iconic shows and Anime was still being experimented and 90s Anime was a mix between 70s Anime with a downgrade from 80s Anime except very specific shows. Won't talk about extremely subjective things like plot or writing from each decade and compare them but I prefer 80s Animation over 90s Animation. It looks retro but it doesn't look old or ugly like the 90s, its feel like it was made for that era and I think it even aged better than most 90s and early 00s shows which they have my least favourite animation style. Few 80s Anime I like the most: Tokimeki Tonight, LOTGH, Gundam ZZ. Few 90s Anime I like the most: Evangelion. And no I didn't exist when they aired, I was born in the 2000s. |

It's most of what I look for when I'm looking to watch something I haven't seen before. Early digipaint anime specifically have been popping up on my radar more often, which tends to result in some rather unique feeling anime. |

| The Golden Age of Anime the peak, the story was matured, the characters are matured like City Hunter, Cat's Eye, Gunsmith Cats, Desert Rose, Dirty Pair, Patlabor, Bubblegum Crisis, Riding Bean, Iria, Tank Dominion, You're under the arrest. Man so good anime on the ere it's so hard to count But I give some favorites.
