| Some lore behind Wu Minglu is revealed and we discover that Wu Minglu and his younger brother were both from Feith City black street. It turns out that Wu Minglu was a kind boy but his younger brother was a cold heart killer who could be attributed to their father Wu Kua constantly beating their mother while under the influence of alcohol. Supervisor Evan does background checks at their old neighborhood and an old lady says that the younger brother fled with the father after a large fire and they didn't know the whereabouts of Wu Minglu suggesting the one they have in custody isn't the real Wu Minglu. While Lian En and Cannon fight the King-turned-monster, Andy they receive word that the subjugation squad is on their way to the sewers and for them to retreat before it's too late. They eliminate indiscriminately whether friend or foe so Cannon and Lian En rush away from the scene before defeating all the evil spawn and King Andy. So behind the underground evil spawn organization run by Andy there is an even higher backer, the Genesis Star organization. Honestly at this stage of the series there are already 4-6 different factions or groups and it's going to be impossible for them to tie all of the factions up in a satisfying ending. Feels like they tried to be too ambitious with the story... |
