| I've about reached my limit with this manga, which is a shame because Kill Me Baby has not only one, but three redeeming aspects to it as a series (the OP, the ED and the anime dance). I can enjoy killing my mind to something dumb every once in a while, but only when I have some feeling of investment in what is happening. Reading Kill Me Baby is a surreal experience because I'm not even that interested in what is happening yet can somehow manage to predict every punchline 100% of the time. Okay, maybe it's not that impressive. I've always found KMB to be incredibly repetitive due to hinging a majority of its comedy on a cast with only six distinguishing character traits, so it's not as if the comedy was particularly varied or high brow to begin with. I imagine this would be more tolerable if it wasn't a 4koma. Kind of a shame that the only formats this series got were the ones that didn't suit it at all. |
