I thought the show was hilarious in the first four or so episodes maybe 8/10, then fell off. The second half of the season was pretty boring, 6/10. Overall, average, 7/10.

You may not be wrong. I found the humour dry. It's not everybody's cup of tea but I liked it. It's definitely not as bad as you describe it though.

Ngl I think a lot of anime are not funny, they’re only a few anime that I think are actually funny.

(Konosuba, Chainsaw Man, Panty and Stocking, Kaguya-sama and that pretty much it)

yeah it's not funny. They try to make jokes every time but most of them doesn't feel funny.

You might find it funny if you’ve watched Harry Potter and other similar shows. Think of this show as a parody that’s just stupid. I agree with what one of the other guys said, 70% is funny, the other 30% is fighting and cool stuff.

The comedy is what carried this series otherwise mashle fucking sucks which is why it’s ending so soon.

Nah man I went and read the entire manga after watching it. I couldn’t get enough of Mash. I’ll give you that the anime does have some parts that stretch out before the punchline, but I’ll be rewatching this show for sure

So I actually enjoyed the manga a little more. Maybe the comedy for me just didn't translate well to the screen. The animation itself was also a little off for me for some reason.

Unfortunately I couldn't push myself to keep going, especially after that 6.5 nonsense. This adaptation was a miss for me, and I will just be sticking to the manga.

I absolutely feel the same. I guess it was funny for a couple of episodes, especially because the Harry Potter parody was more central at beginning of the series. But afterwards it turned into the most generic bullshit series I've seen in a long time. Characters generic as f***, world building a f****** joke, and story wise on the level of a short story written from a 14 year old.
