What does the title mean?

I am not sure if anyone can answer this but I was wondering if anyone knows what mono-tachi or モノたち means in English and why is "mono" written in katakana? Usually katakana is used for foreign languages but mono doesn't make much sense in English (unless I am missing something).

I don't know what's up with the weird spelling but it's probably supposed to be 者 (person) so "Elf Hunting Guys" but it might just be some postposition I don't know about.

Some Japanese Youtubers use katakana where hiragana should be used (based on my foreign perspective) in subs, so it's probably some special case.

not necessary. they can leave kanji words in hiragana if don't want to use them. or sometimes those kanji words are written in katakana
