I’m a huge critic of the PV but it annoys me that so little of these discussions actually concern the quality of the staff and their track record(s).

I've heard hayashi Yuuichirou occasionally speaks out against things he doesn't like and actively tries to change it, so I hope to fuck he locks this director in a basement or something

when I saw sao pv I was astonished althou I didn't watch any season . Turned out that it is all because of the director of photography

I don't know if this is solely the work of DoP but if it is, then MAPPA needs to hire better ones. GoHS and AoT's PV both look like the left one. No wonder it looks so off and weird.

They have better DoP but they are working on other projects.

hmm, alright, you've grabbed my attention. I'm sure with the right staff and collaborations with other members of the team, they can do a good job. I just hope they calm the hell down with the blur filter, cause the trailer for season 4 was covered in it. I know it's pre animated but the director of the PV confirmed that the trailer shows the visuals they're going for

Yeah, he has one of the most important roles because he puts everything all together and presents the final result. It is a significant and important job to be such a person. He works on everything. When I was a child, I remember I wanted to become a professional photographer, so I bought a small camera Ixus 190, old days, with my saved money. So I started taking photos in different places until a man saw my results and gave me the opportunity to study in this domain.
