There's something I don't understand.

"The Demon Sword Morgif absorbs human life for power. Therefore, we need an energy supply to activate it."

Thus, they proceed to hold the sword above ill patients...?

Why? What makes an ill person a more eligible energy source? Is it cause their souls were leaving their bodies? And if that's the case, did they plan on cashing in on people's escaping souls? If so, isn't that f*cked up?

It's because Yuuri is against killing anyone but they need to feed Morgif with a soul to activate him, the whole idea behind it was that they'll find a patient on their deathbed and then let Morgif have their soul when they die naturally. This isn't the sort of series you should take seriously, they literally passed of attempted rape as comedy in the LN and manga.

I see, figured as much. The implications are kinda creepy since eating a soul implies it can't pass on, but fair enough lol. They said the plan wasn't thought out anyways. Thanks for clearing that up!

Well the demons obviously DGAF about Humans. MC as has been animated is 100% unfamilliar with the customs in this world AND also part of him believes he is playing a game in a game world and also part of him believes or wants to believe none of this is at all real AND from what we have been shown of the MC in his own world and in this world he is not the most alert and intelligent person. He's spoken of himself at least two times how even he rates his intelligence as at most: average.

He's also a bit impulsive... as we gather from the story of how he got thrown off the baseball team. And from a lot of things where he acted in this show without thinking... and some times without thinking and without reading and understanding the situation... He's not the best at picking up hints. Some of this may be his logical thought processes being overshadowed by his "The Graphics Are Really Good , I'm In A Game Right!" tendencies.

I like how they wrote a three dimensional character.

And once again they cut out the more intimate moments between Yuuri and Conrad from the novel, such as the one where Yuuri is greeted by Conrad after he retrieved Morgif and left the cave...this is actually super disappointing lmao. These small moments are what make their relationship all the more meaningful and profound (and it's crucial to what happens later on) and it's literally my favourite part of the whole series. And yet they're cutting it out...for what?? To push the Wolfram and Yuuri agenda instead?? It isn't even cute. This is actually discouraging my eagerness to watch the anime.

The Director Junji Nishimura is a Wolfram fan but the anime is still better compared to how the series editor GEG tries too hard to bring Wolfram and Yuuram in the spotlight towards the end of the manga by messing up with other characters specially Conrad (and she's also very vocal about hating Conrad on her twitter).

Not at all familiar with this show/manga before watching this, but I appreciate how retro-goofy it is, and I love that the sword groans weirdly and has a face 😂
