When do I watch this? I'm halfway through season 1 and MAL says it's a sidestory of S2

It does happen after Season 1 but in the Manga it happens after season 2 (chapter 41) and it's slightly modified with Ryuu claiming to have bought books while in the manga, he bought candy for his friend Kirito (not from SAO)

Just to clarify from what has been said previously in case it would be useful to someone, this should be watched between season 1 and season 2. A previous poster mentioned that it technically happens in the manga after season 2, but there's nothing there to spoil any of season 2, and watching it after season 2 feels wrong because it clearly takes place before a major season 2 character development happens, so if you watch it after the second season, you'll just feel like you're watching a flashback and it doesn't work as well.
