| This topic is as old as Superman vs. Goku, but it would nice to have a discussion about these two great franchises. Both have their good and bad parts. Which of these two classics do you like (even though this is in a Macross fanclub)? |

| Gundam feels really stiff. Too much politics in shounen-type shows. I liked a couple of the older ones like Zeta and G Gundam, but 00 and Wing? bleh Macross on the other hand, I really liked DYRL and Frontier. |

| I grew up watching Robotech, Macross DYRL, Macross Plus, Megazone 23, and the other sister shows of Macross. Other than one of the older Mobile Suit Gundam series, I never really got into the whole Gundam bandwagon. |

| Well here is what I'm looking at: Regarding Macross, you're getting a packaged deal (history and all). Meaning it helps to know where they came from (view pasted Macross to catch yourself up) to know where they are going (current Macross show). Gundam on the other hand, you have different flavors to choose from. Not EVERYONE is going to like everything bandai/sunrise will/has put out toward Gundam just like not EVERYONE like chocolate cake. |
| 2 sides of the same coin, although I think Gundam keeps pumping out some fantastic shows (Origin, Thunderbolt) while Kawamori is pulling Macross in the wrong direction. New blood is needed. |
