| Hmm this is a pretty old work so it's not surprising that these kind of plot twists have been done over and over again over time... Not that that's a bad thing (!) but when you see the grand reveal coming through all those sometimes unintentionally ridiculous (or at least blatantly obvious) hints (like the letter friend named S and heart problem boy looking like Shion etc.), it just kinda takes the enjoyment away... Especially since it seems like this was supposed to be a big surprise for the watchers... On a more positive note; I'm rooting for Enjuu's reincarnation in his 'quest for love' and like the fact that the "mother" side character still receives some attention (/plot relevance)! I would've hoped to see more of their previous lives so that we could've gotten to know these characters a little more before they died; which in turn would also make it easier to root for the different romantic couples (like for example Shion and Mokuren: We know they love each other but there is no real backstory given for their attraction to each other.. Considering that almost all the other men were also in love with her, it makes even less sense.. ) Another aspect I'd appreciate being brought up, would be the mentioned misjudgement of character (from Shion to Shukaido) hinted at a backstory between the two but nothing was explained so far I guess I should read the manga for more background information~ |

| So they switched bodies when they reincarnated. It's interesting to see the switch of one's race. All I'll say is, it's a good thing that this plot point was in the late 80s and early 90s, because it wouldn't go over well today. |
| The melodrama is a high, but the rest is great. I loved that final scene! The characters getting more and more involved with their past selves is opening up so much. |
