Yet another grossly underrated show. I would have gladly watched 52 episodes of this and enjoyed every minute of it.

At first I thought it would be some boring anime with lame 3d graphics, but time has passed so fast while I was watching this -it means that it was actually not boring! Quite an open end for me, but it isn't bad side of such series! Thank you bones for another underrrated good anime!

I loved everything about this show. I first saw this on Animax yeaaaaaars ago and I liked it a lot but I never got to finish it. I finally completed this today and I must say, my feelings for this show hasn't changed a bit. I love all the main cast, their backstories and especially the plot. I like that throughout the whole show, there wasn't really a clear villain except Western Ones. They made Torii look like an antagonist but he never felt quite one. It's sad that the initial plan was cut into 25 episodes due to low ratings. I would have loved 52 episodes of this to complete the story. I'm still satisfied with the ending but I feel like there should have been more to it which is expected since it was originally supposed to be a 52-episode anime anyway but I still like how it ended.

My only complaint for this show is that the Western Ones aren't fully explored. We know they're descendants from the royal family who went into hiding, believe that the Earth belongs to the gods and want the world to return to that era but I feel like we didn't know much about them despite them being introduced pretty early in the show. I'm still wondering how that other priest knows Saizo's dance.

Anyway, love this show. Gonna watch the OVAs now.

My 115th completed series chronologically.

For the record, I extended it a 7/10 rating.

Atl smile at the end was the best way to finish this show.
