| Mmm... Very good but not well known... obviously: MONSTER!!! It's a gorgueous anime. Not recommended to all people, because of its plot, its complexity and its 74 chapters. :P Its so long!!! Other anime mmm... Aria series is so charming, but they (3 season) are so slow, peaceful, beautiful... ahhh. Seirei no moribito is another wonderful anime and is not well known. Why? Because it's a action with conscience and coherent anime with strong characters and it's about a mith... Also I recomend PLanetes and Kimi ga nozomu eien. Both are slice of life animes, so touching and well done. A complex and rich plot. They grow when wind on and give us another perspectives about its plot and characters. Characters change and face their problems and they take decisions keeping apropiate coherence and consistency. G.T.O. and Samurai Champloo are more famous than the last one I recommended you, but are SO SO SO AMAZING animes, too! And at old EXCELENT anime (we have a bad memory): Future boy Conan!!! Watch it. Maybe It'd be useful. See ya! |

| Why does everyone say FMP ios a not well known anime. That is one of the first animes that people tell me to watch. I just haven't yet. Same with Baccano? I heard about that one pretty much as soon as it came out. Most of the others that are being mentioned are not known, but I don't think FMP and Baccano are unknown. lol. |

| If it counts (if you're looking for an obscure recommendation) the visual novel series Muv Luv + Muv Luv Alternative tops most visual novel charts (waay ahead of Steins;Gate and Clannad and every other VN adaptation you might have enjoyed) and it is very good, but a lot of people haven't heard of it since most people don't read VNs. I'd strongly recommend giving it a shot. It's pretty cinematic and "feels like" an anime, even moreso than other VNs. Also, for surrealist anime, Angel's Egg is good if you want something similar in flavor to Eraserhead. |
