| For whatever reason, I always thought Lucky Star was a 2003/2004 anime. So I was really surprised to find out it was actually from 2007. Not that it matters much in the big 2025. The version I'm watching is in clear HD and could easily pass as a modern anime. But the artstyle just looks very early 2000s. I thought a legendary series like this would be a little older. Funnily enough, the manga did start in late 2003, which could explain the artstyle. But it still surprises me that Azumanga Daioh is way older. Truly the father of SOL/CGDCT. The OP is very catchy. I can see it being stuck in my head after listening to it a few more times. I used to see this OP a lot on YouTube in the 2010s. Nowadays, not so much. The ED is kinda weird. Does it even count as an ED? Lol. Space Ironman Kyodain was a real show from the 70s. Crazy. Konata is a weird one. She's athletic. She can talk a lot. But somehow she's more into games and anime instead of sports. Do creatures like this even exist? The first episode was fine. Not the funniest shit I've ever seen or anything like that. But some scenes did make me laugh. I was surprised to read the initial reactions here. I'm guessing the show becomes better as it goes on. I'll keep watching cause I do like the characters. I love Akira Kogami already even tho she had the least screentime. She seems bipolar like one of my favorite characters, Ran from Urusei Yatsura lol. Idk why, but I love this trope. |
