I have a problem in my BIOS or something.
Whenever I change a setting in my BIOS and I select Exit Saving Changes, the BIOS shuts off and the power is still on. It's supposed to restart the computer.
Also, whenever I hold the power button down to shut the computer because of above problem, the computer doesn't actually boot until 3 times of holding the power button to turn on and off.

I started having this problem when I installed the BIOS Update from HP (through HP Windows-based BIOS Upgrade Utility and using Windows 7 x64)

Motherboard: A8M2N-LA (Nodus M)
BIOS in Question: Phoenix BIOS 3.10 (12/23/2007) Acquired from here

Question: Should I reflash the BIOS again using the same utility in Windows XP or should I find another BIOS from Asus.

It's not recommended to update the BIOS unless the current BIOS makes you experience trouble. Try a BIOS from Asus first, and if that doesn't work, try downgrading it.

It seemed that it also messed up the onboard video BIOS so my dual screen setup coming from the onboard and my 8600GT is gone.

Guess it looks like I need to find myself a DVI-VGA adapter now.

Do you have a laptop? If not, you can try flashing the BIOS or resetting the BIOS to factory settings.

I don't know. I might screw it up again.
Anyways, I have Windows 7 up and running again and found a DVI-VGA adapter so I practically have what I had before but 64 bit OS don't work anymore for me.

When there's a break for school, then I'll try to reflash the BIOS to factory settings then.

I guess you can lock that thread for now since my computer works except for a few BIOS problems

It seems you got your computer working other than a few details. I'm sorry you could not find a solution to solve your problem 100%, but feel free to make a new thread on any future problem anytime.
