| I'm looking for some anime that has actual warfare, and by that I do not mean a -SHOUNEN ANIME- where the protags call out their moves like they're freaking pokémon. I want armies, swords, firearms, "war". Era does not matter, and i'll watch OVAs/Movies/Series etc. Anything but Mecha is top notch ;)! Thanks |
| Sad that you don't want mecha, cause LOTS of them have good "war" themes/settings (code geass, gundam series, Legend of the galactic heroes, etc.) Besides that, some examples I can think of are: Kingdom Shinsekai yori also has themes of war, though you should be a bit patient with that one Berserk Though if you're just looking for serious anime (not specifically war), then I can help you out (since you're missing a lot of good ones) |

| Berserk definitely. If you want something a lot more "political" try Magi the Labyrinth of Magic and 12 Kingdoms If you want some modern warfare, try Valkyria Chronicles |

| Berserk Movies (the second one mostly). Hellsing Ultimate - that one goes with some big supernatural powers, yet it is war-themed to the core. |
