You guys probably have your own favorite manga. On this thread, you can post or recommend the latest manga series that recently animated or produced in a Movie.

We can also debate on which version is the best or ask information about them.


PLUS: You can post titles that you wish to have an Anime or Live Movie versions.

I'll start then:

I have read that the visual novel and manga version of battle royale is good, but I have only seen the Live Movie! I can say that the first movie is so 'bloody' good! While the second one has more story plot, somewhat it's not as exciting as the first. But I want to know if there is an anime version for the series.

As of the recently animated series, I'm interested with Kannagi.

Which would be better to see? The Manga or the Anime?

Or could you recommend other titles?

I remember seeing the movie version of battle royale during my high school days but since it was shown in WOWOW (you know that Japanese channel aired here in the Philippines a long time ago) there was no English dub and all I did was watch it and admire the lovely ladies in uniform hehehe... Anyway I didn't even know the title but a few years later, I came across a certain manga and when I read the back cover and saw the plot, I realized that it was extremely familiar so I looked it up in wikipedia and found out that the movie and manga was based on the same source so I quickly downloaded the manga

So basically my verdict is that the manga version is superior to the movie version because after I finished the manga I watched the movie in youtube and it just didn't have the same impact it did back then... as a matter of fact, the special effects seem outdated and the story feels rushed compared to the manga which had an unfair advantage of multiple volumes compared to the 2 hour or so movie...

How about the recently animated series?

Here's another question pala:
Sabi nila sobrang layo ng story ng Full Metal Alchemist manga sa anime, it's proven since nakakalito pag may nakita kaming cosplayer ng FMA from manga eh di ko alam yun. And I planned to read the manga but because there will be a FMA 2 (ANIME) release this year, is there someone here who can point out the major difference ng manga sa anime? Thanks. ^^

anybody know school rumble right? well jin kobayashi has made another manga titled natsu no arashi and i think its going to be animated because theres a record in MAL that is going to have an anime

If you wanna know more about the Battle Royale franchise, just search it on wikipedia
as for full metal alchemist, di ko pa alam e kasi di ko pa nababasa manga hahaha

Oh yeah di ko lang alam kung kasali to sa topic pero narinig ko sa Attack of the Show ba yun o Xplay na magkakaroon nanaman ng movie adaptation ang street fighter wahahaha sana naman wag si Uwe Boll magdirect nun hahaha

yung san gakki OVA lang sya... yung pinakita lang yung final parts ng manga.. sa totoo nga lang ang dami nanyari sa manga after the end of ni gakki... plus school rumble z is kinda not the same school rumble that i know...

20th Century Boys will have three live action movies \m/

So far I've only seen the trailers for the first two, and I like what I've seen! Most of the actors (except the one playing the main character >_>) look like their respective characters, and I like how they divided the story into three movies. Three major time periods kasi yung sa manga.. kyaaaaaaaa.. can't wait to see it <3

What can you say about the upcoming live Dragon Ball Movie?

Seems a little lame to me. It starts with Goku as a teenager and it looks like he and Bulma will be a love team. Besides, who the hell is Mai?

Anyway.. Panoorin ko pa rin.

oh well, chinese yata si Chow Yun Fat (Roshi). Ewan ko lang yung ibang chars like bulma and yamcha but Son Gouku is an American! T_T

dapat bibilhin ko yun pero inuna ko yung cromartie... nung pagbalik ko sa bookstore wala na T_T

anyway... sa alam ko may ibat ibang klase din ng warcraft stories.. oh.. and meron ding starcraft manga.. pero di pa ako nakakakita..

WEH?! Walang nagpost dito ng DEATH NOTE? of course the ending varies from one to another but DN's manga to anime/live action is THE best. (^__^)
