I'm looking for something thats realistic and deep; nothing that ends sadly or tragic though. I guess I want to see romance in a somewhat more analytical way.
recommend completed anime please.

Nana Pretty romantic
Sakamichi no Apollon Slightly less romance
Sukinayo A little less serious but very good. Technically still airing but will be finished shortly.
I'd say give these a try first, I doubt you'll find much in the way of Realistic Romance (particularly because romance means unrealistic) especially ones that aren't sad, since in reality love tends to be kind of sad. The first two are touching more than anything and deal with more than "romantic love" The third is just quite cute and deals with analytical love.

I don't think there are anime that do romance analytically. They wouldn't have a plot, after all. For more serious subject matter, I suggest not limiting yourself to the world of anime.

That said, some of the more mature anime that deal with romance are Nana, the Tatami Galaxy, Welcome to the NHK, Usagi Drop, and Koi Kaze. Usagi drop and tatami galaxy aren't much about romance.
I have not seen an anime that is truly philosophical. The "psychological" tag means "omg some1 is/is gonna be traumatized", pretty much. Kino no tabi is a philosophical introduction for average middle schoolers.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'v heard that Nana with tragedy being in it's genre description ended tragically so I'v been avoiding it, but I'll probably give Sukinayo a try. Also I edit my post to say as long as it doesn't end sadly or tragic. I expect pain and sadness to come along with love, but also hopefulness and perseverance as well.

Actually Welcome to NHK was one of the anime that got me more interested in this sort of thing, from trying to figure out the mystery of the characters underlying motives to their own contemplation of their feelings and or life.

Revolutionary Girl Utena.

It might be more psychological than you want though, and probably a lot more feminine than you want as well. It's got several different kinds of romance in it, but it's more about the psychological aspect of it all and it's a fantasy, but it's fantasy tag comes more from it's weird-ness. I mean, it's got a little bit of magic of some sort, but it's not about the magic persay. It's very strange, but absolutely a classic must-see.

Also try the movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Someone recommended Toradora. Does that really fit the description I was asking for?

The "tragedy" tag on bakabt or wherever does not necessarily mean deaths or similar, but not everything will be a happily ever after ending. NHK was far too optimistic, had pretty much any of the character storylines ended differently it could be given the "tragedy" tag. I'm not gonna say anything about shows suggested that have the tags, but I have accidently seen that tag and expected far worse than the outcome of the show, even to the extent that I considered it a happy ending yet was a "tragedy".

That said, tragedies are good, especially if you don't expect them. Take the tags with a grain of salt or preferably avoid looking at tags altogether.

Ookami to Koushinryou / Spice and Wolf

(It's not actually 'philosophical/psychological', but it fits the description pretty well.)

I'v heard from people it is good but haven't decided to watch it due to it not being finished.

Kokoro Connect may fit. It's a bit more light-hearted but some moments are 'deep'.

Thanks for the recommendation it was closer to what I was looking for. I really appreciated the friendship aspect of it too.
