| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapter: "Hard Labour and a Few Slaps" This chapter focused on the physical beatings that soldiers received. While such beatings are not considered to be beneficial in this day and age, it looks like beatings were just considered to be the proper way to train soldiers. Sergeant Honda’s act of giving away his shoe and rice to his soldier shows that the leaders do care, but the system is not fully supportive of such actions. Nakamoto’s death is by far one of the craziest ways to die I have ever heard of. |
| I think Honda suspected something about his rice though... Also, would've been interesting to make a military manga without *any* enemies appearing at all to emphasize the absurdity of the events. And make everybody die silly deaths without encountering Americans. Alas that plane spoiled everything. |
