srsly? tasogare amnesia? that was not sad in the slightest. especially when they stick boobs in ur face during the "serious" parts.

I was thinking about this. Especially when you consider the ending, that wasn't sad at all. The only tears I shed during this show were the tears of regret of the time I wasted on it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions on a message board, are they not?

Also, not a true statement. Trust me, I was not a big fan of the fan service in that anime either but they took the serious moments serious. It was all the other crap that I didn't like.

Natsuyuki Rendezvous - Made me cry a LOT D; Probably the most I've cried during summer was for this

Uta Koi - Sad too. Really good stuff.

Kokoro Connect is kind of sad but it's more dramatic, than emotional.

SAO wasn't sad at all for me. In fact it's kinda funny. I wtf'd during the Yui arc and Sachi's arc/episode didn't make an impression on me at all.

I haven't even finished yet and I've already cried in almost every episode xD

Btooom and K made me cry because they were so disappointing.

That's it really... nothing I've watched so far that's come out this year has been sad enough to jerk my tears, but that's not saying much because Tokyo Magnitude 8/0 and Grave of the Fireflies didn't jerk my tears ether.

Just reading through this so I'm guessing this year there isn't a huge amount of outstanding sad/touching anime. I do plan to watch some of the new ones mentioned on here.

Last year's Ano Hana (which I just finished watching) was extremely sad and touching. Made me cry ALOT....hadn't cried like this over an anime since After Story.

I'm guessing Little Busters will be like Ano Hana based on friendships....does anyone know if there will be romance too?

Fate/Zero wasn't sad, it was shocking and depressing. Sad would be something like Clannad After Story, but that's not 2012 is it? haha, but anime is good regardless of year! except if you go down to 1999 ish or older, art starts to crap out like diarrhea.

People are saying Little Busters because of Air and Clannad. That could possibly true.
The saddest one so far would be Kokoro Connect in my opinion.

I found Clannad boring. Yes ...
I watched it to find out why some people say that its the saddest anime ever.
Same as Anohana(Or whatever the hell was it called), I laughed at the last scene, it was so ridiculous.

You're right, F/Z part 2 was pretty fucking sad. I'd say it's on par with SAO and K. 1c in Merriam-Webster.

Yea, nothing at ALL sad about knowing the girl you love is going to die, and then having it happen. Ohh, and then being seperated from your child. Nothing at ALL like that happened in Clannad.
