Is this truly worth watching?

I already watched the TOS ovas out of boredom back then since I loved the game, these were entertaining enough and did give a little more to the universe, not that much though. Recently I finished TotA and I agree about it having a better story than TOS, it's a videogame story but it's still a great one when you think about it, truly transcends the basic anime «genres» and has a lot of philosophical meanings. However, does the anime truly gives the story something more than in the game or is it simply an anime adaptation of the game, nothing more? If not I'm not feeling to watch a full 26 episode series of the game, would rather do that 2nd playthrough to re-experience the story.

Having played the game, you shouldn't really watch it.
I mean, IF YOU REALLY LOVE Abyss, go ahead, but it's not that amazing tbh
