Well, even with the stilted dialogue, I quite enjoyed this episode that ties back into the original story; liked the imagery used in the dream sequences and the last scene with Gabu reluctantly rolling the last rock in his message to Mei. With only two episodes to go, compared to the rest of the series, it seems like the story will either be a rushed ending, or they are going to cut some things that happened in the original stories... or perhaps there might be another series of episodes? Who knows. Wait and see, I guess.

I thought that it was misreported as 52 x 11 minute episodes? Sincey they are 22 minutes long, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

As much as I'd LOVE it to go for another 26 22 min episodes, I'm 99.9999999999% certain it'll be 26.

On the Sep 10 post there's "最終話のアフレコが終了しました" which means they've already done the recording for the final episode. TwT

Yes, I was pretty sure it was only going to be 26 22-min episodes. So, if the story actually does go further, it would mean a new season of the show, or they wrap things up really, really fast in the last two episodes. If it's the latter, I'll be kind of disappointed: There's a lot of potential for the story to continue after where the books and movie ends. That said, I'd rather the story was continued outside of the TV series as it's just too childish and simple for my liking.
