| (Excluding manga or comic books) Do you prefer reading books in physical form or digitally? And why? If you read digitally, what device do you use? Cell phone, tablet, laptop, or Kindle? edit: (I forgot to add my own answer, haha) Since I bought a Kindle, I have NEVER read physical books again. The Kindle is infinitely superior, especially when you spend hours reading, in the dark or in positions where it would be difficult to hold an open physical book. And also, with the Kindle, I never again had to spend money on books, which increase in price every month. Seriously, the price of books nowadays is absurd. I am 100% in favor of piracy; practically all the books I have on my Kindle were obtained that way. But physical books are beautiful, and that smell of paper is great, and the feeling of holding one in your hands is very satisfying. Therefore, when I have enough money, I will have a bookshelf in my house with all the physical copies of my favorite books. |

| Gone back to physical books now, got a small library of them to hopefully work my way through 🥲 I just think their much easier to take with me when I travel places, especially since I often take the metro train. I do find that I sometimes get carsick when reading in cars or buses though 😅 Around COVID time though I downloaded a bunch of free books and read them on my phone. I honestly really thought I'd hate reading on a device so small like this, but I found it fine and enjoyable. I did have a bunch of books I wanted to read on my previous tablet, but it started dying and I couldn't transfer them over to my new one lol 🥲 so forever they'll remain on there and I've lost the drive a little to read them on my new one. I did also used to listen to a ton of audiobooks in the past, but I've kinda lost interest in them a little and I'm not really sure why. |

| Both have positives and negatives. Digital reading wins out of convenience but reading a physical book feels more satisfying. The biggest drawbacks with reading physical are, you need good lighting to read em and, if you're a minimalist as myself, them taking physical space is pretty annoying, especially when you need to clean around the house. As for the device, I usually read on my phone, but a bigger screen would make it more comfortable. |

| I started reading digital books during the pandemic due to the restriction on movement, and getting to the library and bookstore could be difficult. I still like physical books. If I borrow from the library, it has to be returned during their operating hours. While digital books can be returned by a few clicks on the library's app or Libby. |

| @Adverrito Because physical means you actually own it and can be preserved for the future. Nevermind if power goes out you can't recharge a device to read said digital book. Plenty of other reasons people prefer physical books over digital that would take too long to list. |

| I was trying to find some good raws for Cardcaptor Sakura for a bit, but the furigana are way too small and the scans too low quality. Physical copies are a lot easier to read for me. For non-manga, even though I have a ton of physical books, nothing beats a pdf (Third position is audiobooks, the real best form) |
