| If you were to sing something in public, would people be surprisingly pleased or would they beg you to stop? Personally, my singing voice is… alright, I guess? Not great, not terrible. I tend to spontaneously sing whenever I'm alone or with close friends, and pretty much their only criticism is that I always sing the dumbest stuff (like the Pokémon theme!) rather than anything about my voice. But what about you? What do you think of your singing voice? |
| I think I've approved my Vocals a decent amount in these past months, as a musician in my free time I really enjoy practicing vocals, (both clean and scream vocals) and I've been practicing daily along with guitar daily as something to occupy myself with so I can make something good sounding |

| I only sing at home and in the bathroom. Mostly songs with really inappropriate lyrics lately, not sure why. Anyway, I can't tell what it sounds like to other people. |
| My voice in general kind of sucks. When listening to my own voice (just naturally) in recordings I think I sound like a teenage boy still as I haven't done enough voice training to sound more fem (the ideal sound for my voice would be something like Tara Platt's voice if you are familiar with her voice acting work) and I haven't in general practiced proper form for acting/singing (speaking from diaphragm instead of the face) so I am prolly dogshit. This means I prolly would absolutely butcher songs performed by women. I also can't really raise my voice which sucks as a lot of songs I like have loud sections. So basically I kinda can't do most masc sounding songs or fem sounding songs. I probably couldn't even pull off something like GET to the Top (Remix OF THE END) due to being unable to raise and mess with my voice at will Something I also noticed is that my voice sounds even more masc in my non-native langauges which absolutely sucks as someone studying Japanese since I would butcher a lot of the Japanese songs I like since they were sung by women. I absolutely dread how awful me singing something like Rouge of Love or literally anything from Yumi Kawamura would sound (especially with Kawamura since the English songs she sings are also heavily reliant on Japanese pronunciation of English words in a fem voice to lyrically sound right as seen with something like When Moon's Reaching Out Stars where Azumi Takahashi's cover just sounds off with the more natural English and the rewritten lyrics to sound less like its referring to ejaculation). I also can't rap for shit so uhhh guess no Linkin Park or Lotus Juice either TLDR: I probably suck but I think if I took my voice training more seriously and had more time to do it (even if thats just for me to sound more fem) it would likely have a side effect of making my singing sound better |
