| Took two weeks of hiatus since it's a series i honestly don't want to end but at the same time it's so great to a point i give for granted it won't have a second season. i thought it was a flashback, but no. Miwa is down 0-2 and can't do wrong any longer, so... Yeah, a cat cafe, why not. Other options like the one Yuu thought were too dark honestly, and i laughed at "i won't let you go" passing for a street of love hotels and host clubs, but all they did was preparing food for the other sisters. "why does this Yuu lookalike sweet such a receding hairline?" Got ya, Miwa. Great final look on her too. Reluctantly, i will finish the series immediately now. |

| Miwa's story low-key hits the hardest, finding out that unlike her sisters, she doesn't share the same passion for what she does. But it's okay because Yuu-kun comes along and opens her eyes to the fact that while she may not love shogi specifically, she loves working hard to put smiles on the faces of those close to her. For Yuu, it wasn't the cooking itself that he loved, but rather the joy that it brought to his mother. Another simple message just like the last two, but one that still warms the heart. We're left with a bit of a cliffhanger, not knowing if Miwa won that third match or not. If she won, great, but if not, that wouldn't be so bad story-wise either. Maybe it can tie in with Kazuki's story with the acceptance of loss and failure. And honestly, wouldn't mind if that new twin-tailed girl beats Miwa 3-0. She was talking a lot of smack, but hey, she worked hard enough to back it all up. Who knows, maybe this will make Miwa's path truly different from her sisters as she might even choose to pursue a new career path, one that will put even more smiles on more people. Although that's unlikely, why waste all the effort that you've already put into shogi. At least she's now opened up to herself and realized what truly pushes her forward. Dang, already just one episode left. ;( |

| Unexpectedly hard-hitting scene in the cat cafe. Miwa's insecurities about "in it for the wrong reasons" or "one day it won't be enough and they'll see me for the fake I really am" really got under my skin. Yuu's response to that was an obvious but empowering one: "what's wrong with that?" Very dumb but funny and cute anime with some touching moments. Sadly there's only one episode left. |
